Could you give a short explanation about how you made it?
The motorized trim? I used a stepper motor with a DRV8825 and a multi-turn potentiometer, disabling potentiometer reading when the AP is on
I assumed that.
And how did you resolve it to make the trim wheel movable manually? As far as i remember you can't turn a stepper by hand.
In many planes this is possible the case the FD, APs and don't know what else are off or faulty.
I forgot two questions....
- For what is the multi-turn poti used? As your trim wheel only shows the direction (it's more cosmetic, isnt't it?), or for what do you measure "where" the wheel stands?
- Could you share your Mobiflight config files regarding your trim wheel?

The stepper motor driver has a pin that enables/disables the motor, and in this pin I use an Output in Mf
Yes, I use a multi-turn pot (Wxd3-12 10k), I disable the potentiometer reading when the AP is on.
I'll get the files on the computer and share them.

I see...but for an A320 this won't work, as beside the wheel itself the plane has an indicator, which turns 1/10 of the wheel and shows the level of the trimming.
Therefore you you should know "where" the trim wheel stands.

Maybe it would be possible to make a 1:10 reduction, or else configure another stepper motor to indicate
The mechanic for the indicator ring is working with my design.
On the one side is a self-made servo (a small geared motor, a 10-turn-poti and a servo-electronics) dringing the wheel itself and on the other side of the wheel i have a small 8 to 25 to 25 gear, which reduces the turn speed and keeps the direction.
