I am trying to display the standby frequency on my KAV Radio LCD. The Active Frew displays OK with Preset A32NX RMP L COM1 ACTIVE FREQUENCY – preset code (A:COM ACTIVE FREQUENCY:1, KHz) near . However the STANDBY frequency does not work. From the A380 documentation L:FBW_RMP_FREQUENCY_STANDBY_{vhf_index} should work. How do I enter this into Mobflight? I have tried (L:FBW_RMP_FREQUENCY_STANDBY_1) and various other ways but can’t get it to work. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. MSFS 2020. Using Latest Stable Mobiflight.
#Help with FBW A380 VHF Standby Freq LVAR

try (L:FBW_RMP_FREQUENCY_STANDBY_1, Khz)
Unfortunately, it still does not work. It just shows Zero
can you show a screen shot of your mobiflight window with the config open
IIRC the FBW A320 uses the generic com1 active and standby frequencies for the RMP left. Uses custom Lvars for the standby freq for COM2 and Com3 on the same unit as the generic standby frequency variable for com2 is native to the RMP R
Not sure that made sense.
The Sim only provides one set of generic variables for active and standby frequencies for com1, com2 and Com3.
But each RMP unit can tune a separate standby frequency for each of com1, com2 or Com3.
I can see what you are saying as the Com 1 displays OK with the A32NX Active freq as per the 2nd screen shot
Try (A:COM STANDBY FREQUENCY:1, khz)
As I said, RMP L will use the generic active and standby com1 as it's native variables
Just tried that & it shows the Active Frequency - very odd!
it strange as the code i posted worked fine on my system
Are you using the Stable FBW380 or Development?
currently running dev
Thanks for testing it on you system. I will try the development A380. I also running the stable Mobiflight 10.5.3
give me acoupel of mins ill check the stable version
OK
for the stable A380 use (A:COM STANDBY FREQUENCY:1,KHz)
nope that dosen't work. it only shows the initial value
I'm just re downloading the Development Version, so hopefully I can test shortly
Still does not work with development
Sorry for causing confusion, I was erroneously referring to the A320.
Ah, Oh, Oops. The A320 works fine on my system too. It shows both the Active and Standby frequencies OK. It is the A380 Standby Frew I am having problems with.
this code worked for me on the A380 dev version (L:FBW_RMP_FREQUENCY_STANDBY_1, Khz)
Thanks, I will give that a try later.
It works😀 . Thank you so much for your help and sticking with it
