what exact type of the led strip it is?
Is it with addressable or non-addressable leds?
There is a way but it requires some extra wiring and mosfet/mosfets
How do I know that?
How do you currently control the color and brightness of this strip?

Standard common anode 12V strip. You need three power mosfets and 3 PWM outputs. It's not really color/brightness, more like red/green/blue intensity, but MF can handle that.
For the common IRF520 boards shown on https://docs.mobiflight.com/devices/mosfet/, wire VIN/GND of all breakouts to a shared 12V power supply. On the strip, connect +12V to V+ on one of the breakouts, and the red/green/blue lines to a V- each
So each Mosfet for R, G and B, right?

One R mosfet, one G mosfet, one B mosfet. Each with their own arduino pin, sharing vin and gnd
So only non-power pins are SIG pins and they are connected to three PWM pins?
yes, to control brightness of each color channel.
256x256x256=16.8 million possible colors.
That's a theory.
From my own tests those rgb strips are terrible in replicating colors and the range is very limited.
I mean, it is still 16 million colors, just not the 16 million you might expect
Yeah, I guess the limitation is in perceived differences between colors, especially at the higher end of the PWM range.
