Interesting, it's crashing trying to run the auto updater. Never seen that before.

If I recall, you manually downloaded the zip for this, correct? Where did you extract the zip file? What folder are you running mfconnector.exe from?

tto a separate MobiFlight Folder on my C:drive

#

C:\MobiFlight

ok, that should be fine. You're still having trouble accessing mobiflight.com, right?

no i can log in but the only downlad available is V 10.5

golden stirrup

run mobiflight and when you get the window up saying it found a new update, take a screenshot of the entire mobiflight app so I can see the title bar of the main window

marsh mason
#

i download it 10.5.3.12 fom github

#

ok hang on

#

im gunna do scorched earth rebuild be back tomorrow Thanks for responding Neil

golden stirrup
#

Can you please post the screenshot I asked for before doing that?

marsh mason
#

i just realized it was trying to update when it was already 10.5.3.12 silly me , dont get old

golden stirrup
#

That's a screenshot of the error message. I want a screenshot of the entire main mobile flight window

marsh mason
#

oh ok

golden stirrup
#

Thanks. Yeah you have the most recent version I don't know why it's prompting you to update. I assume you can say no to the update dialogue so just say no to it

marsh mason
#

thats what i discoverd :--)

golden stirrup
#

@polar bolt any idea why there would be a prompt to update when there is no update to get?

marsh mason
#

need a fix me thinks

polar bolt
#

Please use the official installer from the mobiflight website.

# marsh mason

copy the entire text because maybe the path is displayed there somewhere?

really for MANY people because then we should fix the website

#

I have been using VPN from these countries... i cannot reproduce the issue.

#

There must be something in common.

golden stirrup

Well lots of people still have it. We've had at least three threads this week about it. Even Jaime can't access it.

polar bolt
#

For example using Win10 with no security updates and then the browser doesn't know about a new CA that more recent Win11 patches will know

#

I am not sure what OS they are using... do we know that?

#

I am using Let's encrypt for SSL certificiate

golden stirrup
#

No idea. You can ask in the past threads about it, search for label1

polar bolt
#

i have seen that before. that an outdated windows doesn't accept new CAs or root CA

#

If Jaime still has the issue, I am pretty sure we can solve it together

In my case both Android and Windows 10 from the mountain house fail to access since about three weeks ago.

polar bolt
#

Win10 is not supported by MS anymore

next mural
#

Tough luck because my laptop does not comply with Win 11.

polar bolt
#

do you get windows updates on win10?

#

where is the proper thread to discuss this?

#

this here is about something else

next mural
#

In all cases the browsers report a SSL ERROR

polar bolt
#

Do you have updates enabled for your windows?

next mural
#

I do have updates enabled but I haven't checked what has been updated. But the same happens from my Android mobile.

polar bolt
#

you should be able to get more details about the SSL Error. It likely is related to the certificate.

The issue appears to be only with the Mobiflight domain
