The last 2 MF updates have created some sort of blockage between my homebuilt FCU and the sim (2020). I've been successfully using MF for over 2 years but have found recently that after an update most--but not all- my inputs refuse to work. The settings data is there e.g. FBW, A320-dev, autopilot, HDG increase or decrease. To get over the problem I've had to repeat the assignments. Can this situation be avoided?

Can't really be avoided, as FBW improve their A320 and A380, the API Lvars change, this means that some functions via Mobiflight may no longer function so needs editting. You could check FBW API pages, run mobiflight and see if Hubhop has been updated or have a go at using the sim in Dev mode and look at behavours to look for the new functions. It's a few days for me since I ran the A320 and mobiflight but all was OK with help from here.

You start by stating that Mobiflight updates have caused a loss of functionality, when it seems the most likely reason being that you also updated FBW A320 (after many months without updating as the change in some of the Lvars for the EFIS and FCU is at least three months old).
