Hello All, I have recently experienced the MCDU not connecting right away in the aircraft. I have to then either re-start MF or stop the profile and the run it again, which then the mcdu screen says its connecting to the Python. Im using the latest Beta and in MSFS 2020. I want to say it started happening during the last two Beta updates. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi, after loading the plane, can you just try to switch the page on the MCDU? It should then update. So no need to restart anything. Correct?

And please report.

#

(It is probably because of the new font loading not being synchronized with the other stuff happening. It does not show the first page because loading the font is not yet finished. Probably grabbing the first page after start needs to happen a bit later)

So as luck would have it, it worked right when I started the systems 🤦🏻‍♂️. I will try again tomorrow and report back.

#

I also had a question about the font. I was able to use an installed font, but now I cant. Im assuming by your post above that now there is a default font?

yes, MobiFlight ships now a font and pushes it to the device. For testing you should disconnect and reconnect the mcdu from usb and restart mobiflight. then you know, you start from scratch.

Turned on the plane this morning and it worked again. Not sure what changed.

Unfortunately, it did not work this morning. Tried changing the pages to no avail. I had to re-start MF

Hello @worldly bobcat this is still an issue. After a few days off the sim, I started up today and the mcdu still does not work properly. I tried cycling through pages to no avail and had to restart MF

The problem still persists

Hi, there is currently an issue, if you press "Run" in MobiFlight before you have loaded the plane. Then Stop and Start is necessary again. This will be fixed in the next beta. Is that your issue. Does it work if you fully load into the plane and only then press "Run" in MobiFlight?

I have it set to auto run. Once inside the plane, the fcu works fine but the mcdu does not. That is when I have to stop the profile and run it again. Should I wait to be inside the plane to start MF?

@ Otyq I updated to the latest beta and still have the issue. What Im doing is running the profile once inside the plane. That seems to work, but will there be a fix?

So autorun does not yet work properly?

versed lion
#

At least not for me.

worldly bobcat
#

Ok, you are not the only one still having an issue with autorun. If you can really reproduce it would be great if you send me here or per DM a logging. Activate debug logging, try to get into the issue and send me the logging.

I have at least already a suspicion.

Ok, will do!

@worldly bobcat Still trying to recreate the issue

@worldly bobcat so I have done a few flights with different liveries and it seems to be working. Not sure what’s going on?

Can someone verify something for me? (Just got my new MCDU from Winwing) -- if I use Mobiflight for this, I do NOT need to run simapppro, correct?

I was hesitant at first but glad I did it
