#SimConnect OK. Waiting for WASM module is set to SystemDisabled)

I have done everything I could find on this server about this topic but keep getting that message.

So I have placed the WASM module both from the MFC and manually in the community folder but nothing helps. In 2020 it works correctly.

However, after a long search I discovered that in the MSFS Developers mode > Packages the State of the mobiflight-event-module is set to "SystemDisabled" and saw an image somewhere on GitHub where it is set to "Registered".

Maybe it should be set to Registered for me too? Could this be the cause? And any idea how I can solve this?

Are you on the SU2 beta

@hybrid raven

As described I have already done this. However without result.
No, i am not on the SU2 beta.

I also had a strange MSFS2024 Mobi WASM issue. I reinstalled MSFS2024 and that fixed it.

Follow the steps in the doc to look up the community folder and share a screenshot of what it shows

hybrid raven

Do you mean this one?

shy kite
#

I'm not sure what guide you are following. This is the step in the guide I linked to:

#

Make sure you are following the 2024 steps, not the 2020 steps.

hybrid raven
#

Sorry, maybe we misunderstand each other but the link above takes me to this page

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

Yeah, I'll redo the page later today to make it be two sections instead of tabs like that

hybrid raven
#

Is this the screen you want to see?

shy kite
#

yes, thanks. Ok, so when you click that browse button where does it take you?

#

and let's see debug logs instead of normal logs.

  • go into settings again, enable debug for the log level
  • close mobiflight
  • run mobiflight
  • install wasm from the menu
  • share the log
hybrid raven
#

Ah, I think this path is wrong. Should he have come out in the community?

shy kite
#

what's in the Community folder

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

ok that looks right. do this: #1363447521162166312 message

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

that's not the full log file, and debug logging wasn't enabled. Follow the steps I listed, please.

  • go into settings again, enable debug for the log level
  • close mobiflight
  • run mobiflight
  • install wasm from the menu
  • share the log

https://docs.mobiflight.com/guides/sharing-logs/

hybrid raven
#

Mmm, strange 🤔

shy kite
#

is that after you ran the install wasm module command?

hybrid raven
#

Yes.

shy kite
#

post a screenshot of your main mobiflight window so I can see everything, including the title bar and status bar

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

ok thanks, and how did you install MSFS2024? Steam or Microsoft store? Did you ever have it installed twice from different places?

hybrid raven
#

Steam .

#

Twice? Not that I know of....

shy kite
#
  • delete the mobiflight-event-module folder from your community folder
  • Run the wasm install from the menu again
  • Share the logs
hybrid raven
shy kite
#

ok that worked as I expected, great, it's installed. So when you run MSFS2024 now, does it work?

hybrid raven
#

Unfortunately not

shy kite
#

that's so strange

#

I really wish I could try this, but I'm on the MSFS2024 beta and I can't get the darn thing to download the latest update

#

lemme see if anyone else has ideas

#

I have an idea. I think in MSFS2024 in the marketplace there's a way to see locally installed packages. Can you try and find that and take a screenshot? I think there's a way to "enable" it there

#

not in developer tools, just in the marketplace UI

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

yeah!

#

can you select it and click enable?

hybrid raven
shy kite
#

yay!!!

#

try restarting mobiflight

hybrid raven
#

Bingo!

shy kite
#

omg what an adventure

#

ok, if I can ever get msfs2024 to run I will add this to the documentation

placid quest
#

But it says Msfs2020 event module, no?

shy kite
#

I opened a doc bug

shy kite
hybrid raven
#

Thank you so much for your patience and support. Now I can finally move on.

placid quest
#

I think it is reading from the Msfs2020 Community folder.

shy kite
#

do you have 2020 installed @hybrid raven ?

hybrid raven
#

Yes

shy kite
#

ok, that might be it too. not sure why, but at least you are up and running

hybrid raven
#

And in that community there is also the WASM folder

#

Thanks 🥳
