XPLANE-11 , 28byj stepper , running flap gauge , I have the usual issue of loosing zero point if MF connector is not stopped before shutdown or if a PC crash etc, or if I forget. I read somewhere that MF can support a zero switch or optical sensor to correct the zero point. Can anyone advise or point to how this is done?

You connect a switch located at the zero point to an Arduino pin and the other leg to GND. Uncheck the Autozero none box and specify the arduino pin you connected the switch.

#

The Mobiflight firmware will rotate the motor ccw until the switch is pressed.

#

Switch can be anything that will send GND to the designated arduino pin when the motor reaches the zero point.
