Hi everyone, has anyone used the RP2040-Zero?https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/RP2040-Zero

My Nano with the CH340 has been intermitting at times. Looking to move to the RP2040.

I want to try build the GDU1400 (G3000) and this board seems to have everything I need. Enough GPIO pins to control the buttons and the backlight. A 5V to power the LEDs.

Any thoughts on this board? Is it fully compatible with Mobiflight.

It probably will work, but why that board instead of a regular Raspberry Pi Pico?

Yes, I tested this Zero and the function with MF OK - be careful when defining the mfmc file

The number of pins is not the same obviously - but I guess someone with one could define a board.json for it to set the correct pin layout?

if you are making a custom PCB, depending on how experienced you are at it, you could also just include the pico parts directly on your PCB. That's even cheaper.

A normal Pico is $0.99

Putting a pico on via headers is definitely less design work

The price of 2040 is probably a lot less than the price of our work on flying toys 🙂

the cpu itself is about 1€ at jlcpcb if you order just one
