I bought some of the displays with the 50cm cables. But my housing is to small for all the cables (11 pieces).
Is there an easy way to shorten the cables?

They are great! Easy to use. But 50cm cable is much to long for my housing, when using 11 displays:
My plan is to shorten some of the cables to have less stuff to be put into 😄
I just ordered some of these plugs because they looked quite similar to thesese which were used for the display system.

if you have the headers and the tool to put them on and press them together then you could make smaller sections

I use a parallel vice to press the headers together. Not ideal, but it works. Most difficult part is to have the flat cable in a right angle to the connector. The not required flat cable can be cut with a sharp knife.

All cables were shortened and all displays are still working.
