Just now I attempted to loadfirst Mobiflight and then SPAD - when I did, SPAD notified me that X-Touch Mini was in use by MF. When I reversed the order of loading, SPAD first and then MF, MF notified me that X-Touch was not available because it was being used by SPAD! I have used them together for a while but after an update to MF, it seems that the two programs do not play nicely in the sandbox anymore!
Please, I need your help!
#Mobiflight Conflict with SPAD.neXt
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Mobiflight supports MIDI devices now. MIDI devices can only be controlled by one thing at a time. You need to decide if you'll be using SPAD or MobiFlight for your x-touch mini.
We have a change in the works to disable MIDI in MobiFlight if you want to keep using SPAD.next, but that's not released yet.
Your options until then:
- Migrate the x-touch mini settings over to MobiFlight and stop using SPAD.next
- Continue using version 9.7.1 of mobiflight until we release the midi disable feature
Hello: Does it matter that I am only using the MF Connect?
I don't understand the question
OK. I am using MF Connect with the Octavi G1000 cockpit - not with the X-Touch. I control the aircraft with SPAD and the X-Touch. Does that mean they won't conflict?
.if you don't care about MobiFlight using the x touch then make sure to run spad first and you can ignore the warning from MobiFlight
Your Octavi should still be fine
THANK YOU - I had visions of my entire cockpit arrangement going down the tube!
Should be fine if you run spad first. Let me know if it isn't
Thank you again - I'll be sure and order my execution!
I guess on reading that doesn't sound very good - I am not facing execution!!
@warm fjord I see there is a new version - Does this one fix the problem we were discussing?
Yes
Great. I didn't want to install it only to have to uninstall and reinstall 9.7. Thanks so much for your help!
@warm fjord Unfortunately it didn't work! I loaded MF first, then SPAD and SPAD indicated it couldn't connect to the X-Touch. So, it's back to 9.7!
Did you go into settings and disable access to the xtouch in the new UI?
No - I didn't know I had to. Do I unclick "Enable MIDI support" or just X-Touch Mini or both
depends on what you want to do. do you want to disable midi entirely in mobiflight? or just not use the xtouch mini?
Oh - no I am using the IFR-1 so I guess I just uncheck the X-Touch Mini?
Yes, that's what I would do
Yes - now SPAD, X-Touch Mini, and the IFR-1 work. Thank you again!
