#SimConnect OK. Waiting for WASM Module error

I’ve just updated everything, Sim Update 14, latest Mobiflight, etc. Mobiflight is unable to connect to the sim, seeing this error with the warning icon in the status bar. I’ve searched and found a couple of people reporting the same issue, but having restarted everything several times, check the Mobiflight-event-module addon is in the right place, I still can’t get it working. Completely stumped.

Have you by any chance reinstalled msfs2020?

pseudo olive
#

Nope, just ran the in-sim update

The mobiflight-event-module folder is correctly located in the Community folder?

pseudo olive
#

Yup, just deleted the folder and reinstalled it from Mobiflight. Rebooting everything again to see if it works

noble tiger
#

OK that would be my suggestion too.

pseudo olive
#

I assume it’s that the module isn’t being loaded by msfs

#

But don’t understand why

noble tiger
#

You can check that in developer mode

pseudo olive
#

Mobiflight-event-module is showing as installed in the packages listing

#

Along with all other expected add-ones

#

Ons

#

Mobiflight still not connecting. It’s showing it’s trying to connect in the debug log

noble tiger
#

Which folder is Mobiflight installed on?

pseudo olive
#

SimConnect inspector seems to show Mobiflight is making a connection

noble tiger
#

Check folder privileges

#

Firewall settings maybe?

noble tiger
#

Do not install Mobiflight in the Downloads or Program Files folders

pseudo olive
#

Mobiflight just installed in a custome c:\Programs…. Custom folder I made

noble tiger
#

OK good

pseudo olive
#

Just seeing if windows defender is doing anything odd, but can’t see anything

noble tiger
#

Wait did you say Programs Files folder?

pseudo olive
#

No, programs

near ruin
#

I just had the same issue. i deleted the folder mobiflight-event-module in the community folder, restarted windows, installed wasm module - now it is working again.

pseudo olive
#

Yeah I’ve just tried that, nothing changed

#

Also turned off defender temporarily. Nothing

#

Getting UNRECOGNIZED_ID when I move any of my switches, assume that’s because SimConnect is erroring

#

Is this normal??

pseudo olive
#

Had to completely uninstall Mobiflight and reinstall. Seems the updater messed something up

#

Only downside now is I’ve completely lost interest in a flight!

noble tiger
#

🤔 glad you found the solution

pseudo olive
#

Thanks. As usual you’ve been helpful

@pseudo olive did you use the feature to update the wasm module in the mobiflight connector? Or did you just use the event-module which already was installed?

#

Because if did not use the feature in mobiflight connector that can explain it. Then your wasm-event-module was too old.

pseudo olive
#

@pastel loom updated using the menu option in the connector. Problem seemed to be Mobiflight itself rather than the module

#

The module had been updated in the community folder
