#Cant install WASM module
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Sounds to me like maybe a corrupted file.
I would download the Mobiflight installer again and reinstall it.
You can also try to manually copy the wasm module files contained in the mobiflight-event-module folder to the Msfs2020 Community folder.
I did it like 5 times
Did what? Download and reinstall?
Which MF version? 10.0?
Yes
Of course you need to restart Msfs2020 every time, right?
I restarted it too
You mention a log, but I didn't recognize the image of the log
Where is that log from?
Its form the mobiflight folder
Maybe its the wrong one i dont know
I used the search tool
Try reinstalling the wasm module from the Extras dropdown menu
It says community folder is not found
Have you reinstalled Msfs2020 by any chance?
I have two disks
No
One with simulator and different one with app
Different disks should not be a problem
How do I tell the location of community file?
In the game?
I found it
So how do I fix the problem
If Mobiflight for some reason can't find where the real Community folder is, copy the wasm module folder to the Community folder and restart Msfs2020
mobiflight-event-module
I move only this one, right?
Not move
Copy
Did you move it from where it was originally within the Mobiflight app folder?
yes
So I copy only this file?
The whole folder goes to the Community folder indicated in Dev Mode.
No. I said the folder indicated by Dev Mode which you said earlier you had found already.
You don't do this inside Dev Mode but you use the location indicated by it.
Why? Because in the course of installing Msfs2020, especially if you have done it more than once, multiple Community folders can be left hanging around your disks.
This opens a community folder i used before
That is why I insist you consult where Msfs2020 is looking at it.
OK so copy the wasm folder there outside Msfs2020
So is it inside the community folder?
or in a file with games which mfs2020 located
Idk how, but it show its connected
but wasm module still has an error
I dont have it
but when i download it it has the same error
So what error are you now seeing?
Omg it’s working
On cessna
Do i have to use fly by ware aircraft?
If i want to use airbus
I restarted it and now its not working again
should i just install fsuipc7
so I installed the fsuipc7
Deleted it cause its not working with xbox mfs2020
and now it says that wasm is installed sucesfully
and now its not working again
You don't need FSUIPC7
So in installed fsuipc7 and i created a new folder
ignore fsuip7. you are making things more confusing by worrying about it. You do not need fsuipc7, and it has nothing to do with the wasm module
This shows everything was working
what did you change after that screenshot?
I restarted my pc to make sure its working
ok, so what's the problem now? You say "it's not working again" but why do you say that?
why did you try and install the wasm module again if it was alreay working before you rebooted? Just run MSFS 2020, then run Mobiflight
What does it show when you click the little arrow next to the sim status?
post a screenshot of it please
one sec
super weird. really super weird.
I would use the VFS dialog in MSFS to open the community folder again
and post a screenshot of that folder
should i reainstall mobiflight and try atsrt over?
no
Is that the folder that opened when you clicked the button in the MSFS debug dialog?
ok, well, I don't know what happened but you obviously don't have the wasm module installed
you'll need to manually put it in that folder I guess. I believe Jaime walked you through how to do that before
copy or move?
I do copy so I still have it in the mobiflight folder if I need it again
you have to restart MSFS2020
I say again, you have to restart MSFS2020.
to be clear, MSFS2020 only reads the Community folder and puts it into the internal VFS only ONCE during startup. Any changes made afterwards are ignored until you restart.
you should be fine now. really not sure why it still wasn't in your community folder but should be good going forward
you still have something wrong in your MSFS2020 installation because Mobiflight can't find the Community folder by itself.
But like Neil said, you should be able to run now. Mobiflight will most likely still have issues reinstalling the wasm module, but you now know how to manually install it.
Mayne because in using xbox subscription?
For mfs2020,
And not the steam version of it
I run MSFS2020 from the Play store
shoudln't matter, that's what I have
anyway, it doesn't matter. you're up and running have fun!
Thank you so much!!
Oh, and if I want to use airbus a320, do I have to use FBW version of it?
I've never flown any of them, but the FBW is one of (the most?) popular variant of the plane, why wouldn't you use it?
Im using it
great 🙂
