I am planning to upgrade my pc to run smoothly with MSFS2020.
I am having already a graphic card “ASRock Radeon RX 6600 Challenger D CLD 8GB”
I am thinking of purchasing one the following boards (my limit is 300 EUR).
ASUS PRIME Z790M-PLUS Gaming Mainboard (Intel LGA 1700 (mATX, PCIe 5.0, DDR5 Speicher, 3x M.2, Aura Sync)
or
ASUS TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS
As CPU "Intel Core i7 12700KF Box” or “Intel Core i7-12700F Boxed” (with graphic on board).
There are boards options with WIFI. I am not sure if I need them. Do I?

700EUR is very low budget. To be honest, I would go with AMD instead of Intel. 58003XD to be more precise as MSFS likes a lot of cache so any 3XD will do a job..
Since you are very limited with cash (nothing wrong about it) I gathered something for you. Let me paste it...

But to be honest, price difference between 58003XD and 78003XD is so low that I would add some extra $$$ and buy 78003XD so you are on AM5 platform for eventual future CPU changes.
You can save on motherboard by choosing this one:
MSIPRO X670-P WIFI
It's ~40-50EUR cheaper than TUF_Gaming.
DDR5 RAM is also very cheap As a matter of fact, it can be cheaper than DDR4 right now.

aah one thing I didn't add to the list is CPU cooler. There are some decent cheap solutions but you would have to dig into this subject as I don't follow the subject closely so don't remember names. I think Gamer's Nexus did a video about it

Well, you said 700-900 including rest of components so here it is. You won't be able to use old RAM on new platform, at least not with AM5.

You don't want to pair high-end CPU with mid-range chipset like B650.

stay away with Gigabyte as their customer service is one of the terrible on the market.
As for Asrock, I won't comment as I didn't use their products for many years.
MSI - I'm using their two motherboards and never had any problems with it.
They are very consistent in quality.
Tomahawk is a stripped of built-in RGB version of more expensive model like CARBON. It has RGB headers if someone is interesting in it. Other featurues of CARBON are still here. There might be some slight different in variety of USB ports and their types.
Tomahawk is really sweet spot when it comes to price vs quality/features.
This is motherboard I saved on the list for my future built (if I will still manage to build it before new gen comes)
