Hi, im using an arduino mega and when i start mobiflight it says that some boards is ambiguos and ask to upload firware manually.
when i try it says "there's an error".
The board works with ide and i used this same boards with mobiflight some mounth ago

#

and when i chose the firmwar there's only nano or uno, not mega

A couple of things:

  1. Make sure the Arduino IDE isn't running when you try and upload the firmware. Rebooting your computer before attempting to upload the firmware is a good way to ensure this.
  2. Is this a genuine Arduino or a 3rd party version?

Post a photo of the arduino board

#

And make sure the Arduino IDE is not running when you attempt to flash. I suggest rebooting your computer, then running Mobiflight

Ok, that's definitely a mega and is definitely supported. I have one on my desk 😄

and that is what happens if i click on get board info on ide

#

is it normal?

tawny moss
#

No... and I do think we saw this before and I can't remember why. One moment.

#

Ahhh I'm remembering. Since you last used this with mobiflight did you install anything else on it?

#

I suspect you installed something on it that changed the VID/PID. That VID/PID is not a normal one for a Mega.

on the arduino?

tawny moss

yes

soft chasm

i dont remember, it was in a box 😄

tawny moss

ok one moment

#

Then run mobiflight and you should see Mega as an option for flashing. Try and see if it works.

soft chasm
#

oh great, now it works
thanks a lot 😄

Can you run the Board Info command again and see what it returns now?

#

Also you should replace your arduino_mega.board.json file with the original one now (you don't need the change I provided anymore). This is the original file.

in the ide it keep saying arduino uno

because i have to buy a new one for a project

Something changed the vid/pid of that board I think, probably some other software you tried a while ago

A new board shouldn't have the issue
