I've since looked through that post you shared, and yes, mine appears to be the same. Except I know exactly what's caused it, but am not able to do anything about it.

Any duplicate schematics have notifications for them that the player cannot remove. unchecking and checking the owned box and going through every schematic slowly does not remove the notification icon
