This is an entry for the 2023 Frictional Modding Jam in the theme of war.
The mod features different dialogue options

Now you can go explore mars! Frictional's next game is space themed so I thought it would be nice to make this one space themed as well.

I've tested it on my machine like 10 times through custom stories and it worked just fine

Usually when it doesn't say what the error is it's because it can't find a helper file. That's odd

Hotload is off though so it's kind of weird. But I do recommend trying the mod off the beta and seeing if that works

yeah, it's something to do with hotload

hotload just doesn't work in the public release so when it actually works i'm guessing it fucks your mod up somehow

That's very odd considering it's off in the mod configuration..

Yeah I kinda guessed you'd have some missing assets.
I might've forgotten some things go to EIA/ path in the mods folder, so I'm checking to see how bad it is

yeah, modules don't get loaded with hotLoad, since it doesn't recompile the scripts iirc

it's not that broken tbh, just mod support or loading is a bit iffy in the public release

Overall the mod is short and it'll save your progress walking into the building so no worries

Generally I recommend verifying game files though based on the missing module problem

pretty cool short mod, pretty light on gameplay but it's a pretty daunting concept you were going for with the existing assets so i respect it

i'm not sure what else might have been out in the map since i know you were working on those tank models and whatnot but it wasn't on my main path so i likely missed it

@solid ruin Forgot to tell you earlier, but I played the mod, and really like what you put together.

The atmosphere kinda reminded me of a mix of Doom 1/2 en Doom 3, if that makes any sense. And I think you touched on the foreboding part really well. Was getting really curious what the hell was going on there 😄

There was a bit in there where I got confused because of a monitor that from a distance looked like it was interactable, but up close wasn't, I think I saw that in our own mod too with GUI props.
