A short nightmare 🙂
Wait you did this in a day?
Short but good
That.. was fast. You do realize you have more than a month to work on it right?
rushing stuff won't lead to victory
unless you feel it's finished
man fuck this negativity i bet this is awesome, gotta play it soon
That was pretty good, spooked me at the end even!
Not impossible 🙂 my last Jam was made in like 9-10 hourse. But it was really short
Hey I was jokingggg!
I was merely surprised there is a submission already
I worked on it for about a month. I saw the mod-jam and wanted to finish it because It would have stressed me because school starts in a week 😄
Oh
Well, since it took you around a month, I guess we can approve it
since it was still made before the jam
Wait
Shouldn't this have the non-competitive tag?
A month extra of work is not very fair to other contestents
I checked, I started working on it july-09. I put the non-competitive tag on, didn't know about that. I'll remove it if I'm allowed to compete. The jam lasts a month and a half and I didn't work for that long. Is it even possible to check for how long a project has been made?
Theoretically it's possible but if you are careful not really
Like if your files say a date before the jam for example
It's just that it makes it unfair for other people so I don't think this can really compete in the jam
It's like if I made Munshi Dating Simulator and released it only when a jam came out
even if it's made in under the time limit?
Usually they don't allow mods before the jam starts. In regards to time limit they may think otherwise
Timan actually sounded like he allowed it, I think you just need some clarification from mudbill or Timan
Personally tbh if it is made in under a month about the same theme and follows everything before the jam even started I don't see why it can't compete (just no changes allowed of course because then it would be pretty unfair)
sure
@quaint narwhal pm me and I'll provide information if needed. I remove the non-competitive tag
I'll discuss it with the other moderators
But yeah you might have to put a non competitive tag tbh
I mean tbh it's kind of also impossible to know how long he worked on it
I bought the game july 8th. I can provide steam buy receipt 😄
I disagree, people who were already making mods deserve to have a chance at competing. Putting extra time in a mod isn't unfair as one month is already fair enough to construct a winning game. Time does not mean winning quality.
Plus like that is only two weeks of extra time.
PLUS I garentee there are going to be others who do the same exact thing. Now they will pretend that they weren't working on it before the announcement of the jam.
I don't really care if i cannot compete, I just wanted to bring something for people to play. I loved the game and saw many people wanting more.
Time does mean winning quality when it comes to jams.
Last jam, I'm not joking, I worked on it till the last second. Even the last day was extremely important for my product to look good and I just barely made it to winners
In addition to not being fully aware of when the person started which makes it even worse since it means they could've started it years ago and we would never know unless they tell us or we check dates (if they haven't messed with them)
That's why jams are also different in themes
Also yeah nothing personal kiviviki I'm just replying to banana bunker
After discussing we concluded it's ok to participate and compete, as you worked on it for only a month and already submitted your mod. As long as you don't make any changes to it, it will be counted as a valid entry.
I completed it just now. this is really good for the first work! The sudden Grungus appearance on the left before the exit door legit made me jump. Nice job. Although I'd advice fill in notes a little, because (not offending anybody) it seems a little bit of generic, like:" -There is a monster! RUN". That's the only advice I have. Other than that, it's pretty good.
I liked it. First custom story I've finished since SOMA. ||I got so fucking scared when I opened the door with the bolt cutters, turned on the light at the end of the hallway and the monster was right in front of me, the only thing I saw was its face. I just had to hit ESC and sit for a moment.||
not even munshi dating sim??? grrr
That was a SOMA mod right?
Yes
I did finish it
Oh okay good
I meant SOMA mods
