So that means yes I take it? They do not really elaborate and sometimes it's just as generic and it doesn't lol
im not sure though my english way back on my school days are nightmare class 🤣
Haha 😂
I've asked for clarification because i would assume it does work against npc's, but i also wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't and only works against player targets
just started using the debri and module analyzer one..
Though it has 3% chance only, I have yet to pick up a debri or module (HiSec Island)..
Either, due to being in Hisec T9/10 Rats which has 0% Loot Drop rate
or due to abysmal chance (3%) of the experimental types..
Will keep using for a week and see results
I was informed that they do work on "most" npcs.
However npcs typically also have nothing in their cargohold, so that one doesn't work at all.
Im assuming stuff like encounter npcs that have 0% droprates will continue to have 0%
dont seam to be worth it for ratting i guess
For cap anoms may be useful
More debris 🤑
You say that npcs "typically" don't have anything in their cargo hold. Do you know by chance how do npcs in drone regions work? They drop all kind of planetary resources, reprocessed materials and implant units. Are they still not affected by a cargo scanner?
I was just relaying what i was told by cloud when i asked him about the effectiveness of the new scanners.
From the information i was given and my best guesswork from said information, it seems like the system for npc's dropping loot is different to how they drop modules/debris. So it doesn't actually have anything in its cargo, when its killed, a drop calculation is rolled, then if anything passes, a wreck is generated with the drops - physically having nothing in the cargohold so the cargohold boost doesn't matter.
Ok, so it means that only the module and structure ones are effective for getting loot from npc.
Another strange thing that I noticed - structure analyzer doesn't say that it increases the chance of ship debris dropping, like two others say. It seems like it increases the likelihood of the wreck in general appearing with whatever is inside of that wreck. Do you know if it is the case or if it is simply a translation issue?
It might explain the huge difference in market price of these scanners
Fairly sure it is a translation issue and wreck = debris
So Kalevala npc wouldn’t get affected of them u think?
Cause they don’t drop modules like in Malpais and with no cargo or debris (okay drop metal scraps) this would explain the „most“.
Or u think that the drone components count as debris there?
Is scanning funas a career
Well... Yes...
an No...
Yes:
You get to roam, find cool stuff and sometimes strike rich immediately.. like few billions per Site..
Can also have some pvp (Kill other Site scanners and loot their stuff)
No: Repetitive..
Once you max your skill, well.. thats it.. same routine...
Jump Gate → Scan Local → Warp Site → Open Box → Repeat
@ebon jungle what do u think about.
Bleh yeah sounds like blah
