#I have doubts about how to use the aero implant in the Cyansea

I use it on Villain, but I’ll try to explain basics…
First, the DPS buff is passive and “always on”
Second, it has an “active” mode that consumes durability/neuron juice
The active mode cuts fighter speed but boosts fighter range. If you turn it on when your fighters have reached where targets will be, then you loose less Dps to the fighters returning to you between targets and getting out of range.
If you rat at zero, the active mode is of little or no benefit
If you are at range, then the active mode is very nice… assuming you are not shooting something that shoots back at fighters.
The first passive choice is between added DPS (but lower velocity) or added tracking (plus lower sig radius). I assume everyone uses the top choice for DPS.
The second passive choice is between added range or expanded pickup radius (and small velocity buff). Both seem useless to me, except the small velocity boost.
I can’t tell you how to do labs in a cyansea. Good hunting.
Nicely summed up by Val on the implant.
In regards to fighting cyan rat in high sec, if you have an alt, pop them in a fast frigate, I put mine in a cheap slasher Inty with mwd. They can happily land at 0km, then turn and burn away with mwd until you get beyond 250km. Then stop the frig > save location and share to your main.
Autopilot your cyan to this shared location and kill everything in total safety (rats don't attack you beyond 250k)
If you don't have an alt, warp to 100km, then when you land, turn and fly away from the beacon. By the time last wave spawns you'll probably be 150~170km from beacon and you can just keep flying out to 250km while you take on the last wave. The Cyan will likely hit you some, but I have tanked at that range as I flew out to safety. I only used 1 repper, 1 adaptive and a battery and that was enough to tank while flying that remaining distance.
It would be best to use the alt method, however, if you can, especially if you're in an island so you can quickly warp in your alt to loot before loot thieves pinch your goodies.
Only worth doing this in the 5.5m experimentals as cyan can only spawn there in high sec. They won't spawn in 4m or 5m labs.
You can use the alt method with one toon. Just make bm and reship
Ah yes, much safer 👍🏼
Oh wow, thank you so much for all your help!!! Today I will try everything you told me. With the technique of attacking from a distance and moving away.
I have a question, can the npc Cyansea be killed at 0km from the anomaly? Would the fit of the lower modules change? I carry a red adaptive and a shield booster in the lower modules as you recommended
Sorry to bother you, could you explain to me a little more ?because I couldn't understand some words , like bm, and toon.
Thank u very much again to all, guys
It "can" be done at 0km but it really is not recommended. The CyanSea rat hits very hard so you'd want a lot more tank. How much more I'm not entirely sure as I've never bothered to try it since my first encounter with it. I was at 100km, fit for dps and I had to dock and refit some more tank to finish it off. Fighting it beyond 250km is completely safe and allows you to remain fit for dps. I really don't recommend fighting at 0km, seen a few folk lose their cyans that way.
Toon = Character / account
BM = Bookmark
To do it without an alt, his suggestion is solid. What you would need to do is get into a fast frigate with mwd > warp to the encounter at 100km > turn and fly away from the encounter beacon until it is more than 250km away > save the location (to create the bookmark) > dock back up and swap into your Cyan > warp back to the encouter at 100km > warp to your bookmark > kill everything in safety 👍🏼
To create the bookmark, you need to tap the icon on the left side of the screen, kinda looks like a blueish "Google maps pin" to bring up your locations list > hit save location to create the book mark.
Apologies if you already knew that, had to teach that to a few folk already and thought I'd go through it, just in case.
Well laid out. Don’t bother at zero. I did it once on a waste seeker large site. It takes forever to kill the damn thing. And I have great carrier skills
You may encounter something like this 😄
u are ratting in Shenda..its a .5 system. is that a good island to run? Looks like a few good places over there
Nope, clarelam clorteler is best island for ratting
Looks a tad bit butt clenching
