That's not how PvP works.

In PvP you don't enter an anomaly and there is a guaranteed player there. It's not PvE, players don't have guaranteed locations (except clarelam, which is high-sec).

If this is your mindset, I suggest you stick to PvE.

PvP is about just diving in and giving it a go. Your corp can help you better than we can, and by extension whatever alliance you're in too.

If you're not in a Corporation, I strongly urge you to consider one. Solo pilots burn out faster than those that find a good community to be a part of. The community often becomes the reason to play.

MWD, not AB, and rig for speed, you should aim for an orbit speed of over 5400m/s. I guess speed might be a little less important since the small drone nerf. Going dual prop isn’t a bad idea either, in case of getting scrammed. You can drop damage control once you’re used to speed-tanking, nothing can hit you.

Honestly? The best way to hunt would be insurance fraud your ship into an NPC station to get past the gate camps.

Then operate internally in a SOV organisations space.

The problem is they'll know you're based in an NPC station. And likely find you.

So you should probably scout the area in a cloaky, take notes of:

Activity times
Defense readiness
Local chatter
Corp tickers
Response time to other reds / neuts

PvP in these kinds of games takes either a lot of luck, or a lot of hard work.

You can't really count on luck.

Make an alt, tech it up to be able to fly the appropriate hauler for the structure you're stealing.

At least have Indy command and engineering skills or whatever is appropriate.

Throw a cloak on it.

Insurance fraud it into a SOV space to dodge GC.

Scout for timers in an inty.

Park hauler as closer to dead center of structure with timer as you can while avoiding "collision" with it (yes you won't hit, but you need to be close to x,y,z center of the asset because it drops as a box).

Scoop the box, run like hell.

Log off somewhere in system, don't log back in for a week or two.~~

Ceptors are better for null PvP due to cost effectiveness.

However, it's the "safe" route. The risk vs reward is relative. I hope you enjoy shooting miners.

You're probably better off in a covert ops stealing loot from specials.
