#Option to locally display scores as the old Miss-Good-Perfect scale

before, when you hit a non-perfect, it felt off
hitting a great doesnt feel off, it feels like a perfect
so
calibration issue mayb?
i want a way to disable them on front-end only
no backend stuff like for scores
just visually
so you're telling me you can hear a difference of 15 ms of sound to input between a 35- ms perfect or a 50- ms great?
yeah
it's not calibration
my timing feels off whenever I hit a great
it's literally too small a difference to be noticeable
I hit greats whenever I'm noticing that I'm getting out of rhythm with the song
maybe your average Greats are less perfect than ours
the game feels really responsive in that regard compared to some other rhythm games I've played
I can feel that I will get a bad judgement before I even hit the note most of pretty much all the time
because I can tell i'm straying from the rhythm I internalized
if you're a visual only player then I don't know what to tell you
either way
i dont see the harm in having this as an option?
the difference between p and p+ is a lot harder to notice but we already have a toggle for that
dev time
could be confusing for players
could encourage bad habits for new players starting with it on
bad habits that literally would be no different from any player who started before update 18?
Would be better to not have them going forward I would think?
one of the biggest things i liked about spin was the forgiving perfect window compared to other games; it actually felt fair and newcomer-friendly
especially going into 1.0 with more players
its one of the main reasons we stuck with it
If you’re talking about the judgements, I already suggested to bring back Perfect/Early/Late/Miss
it's not 100% about the judgements themselves
i just hate the new perfect window and the existence of Greats
if they changed it so perfects were still 35 ms, and everything else up to 150 ms was early or late, i would still have issue with it
I think it’s universally known that no more major scoring changes are going to happen, especially because so many score wipes already happened
And even if this was for whatever reason implemented, without actually reverting to 50ms perfects
what would be the use to this
Or rather, if I reread the initial suggestion, yes I’d like to see Late Early instead of Great too but that’s about as much as can be done
We’re not going back to 50ms perfects lmfao
I mean I have nothing against making greats showing up a toggleable as long as the score remains the same, but I do agree with Axol that it could encourage bad habits long-term.
