This is an awesome resource and looks like it took a crap-ton of work, incredible job! One suggestion, you might also post this over at #1024381264213594242 as well. This channel is for those seeking help, so it might get passed over by some users.

Also, hope you don't mind but I made a post in the Zig Reddit about this book, I feel like this is one of those projects that need as much exposure as possible, and the Zig reddit is full of beginners and people seeking help. If you want to make an official post, I can delete mine.

@desert lark I see you wrote "Human-written, no AI"

Does that mean that absolutely no AI was used during the drafting and writing of the book?
Or does it mean that all AI generated content was reviewed before adding to the book?

#

I am asking because (at least on your twitter account) you seem to be a big AI fan https://x.com/utxok

More learning resources are always appreciated, but this project is not in a state where you should be announcing it as though it is complete.
There is a lot of information, but it jumps back and forth from advanced and basic topics. It starts with a graph of entry point logic. It feels like a grab bag of examples, which is annoying since you explicitly stated it wasn't going to be.

This is not at all a resource i would recommend to beginners, at least in its current state.
Given the haphazard structure of the book, and various other details, I am very sceptical of the claim no AI was involved.

no ai was used-> Uses deepwiki for creation of the site
The credibility of this statement is very very low

#

I agree with Vei. Its very all over the place, and I would not recommend it either

Also, @desert lark this is #1019652020308824145
This is not a forum to promote your website
There is #1024381264213594242 for that

yeah it's definitely not a culmination of anything in the previous parts of the book

#

that whole chapter is transparently AI generated in terms of content/style, i really hope a human isn't capable of writing something like "This isn’t recursion for its own sake—it’s confidence. Zig trusts itself because it has earned that trust through transparency and verification at every layer."

its also the first repository i have seen with this tab, tho to be fair i dont rly look at AI projects that often 😅

Same 3 accounts (zigglang, zig-vm, zigbook) are liking all of his responses and disliking all the comments that have some degree of criticism 😂

Did anybody actually read the book. Im on it and I would say its almost impossible that AI wrote the chapters and I haven’t seen any mistakes so

#

I agree though and I think that he wrote the Intro with AI,.

He probably didn’t want to admit it : /

#

Interesting I didn’t make it so far..

#

Maybe he did give it the library and documentation to build it out and treated it like a coding project...

#

So is the consens that its AI generated ?

Where is this Github discussion on ? @thin mural
