Not criticism but why you decided not to split single large main.zig into few smaller files like colors.zig for color schemes or controls.zig for controls related stuff?

Single file is simpler and easier to read (up to some limit). Having many small files with trivial logic is confusing, imo.

yes it is. I'm in the middle of something right now but I should be able to dig up an example for you to look at (using SDL) that does exactly that
