Make it cost 999 Rare EP if you must, but there aren't a lot of good ways to get more rings that don't involve fat stacks of cash.

and in the fortune dust shop they have to compete with epic dolls, which they just cant.
if you have 300 dust, saving up 100 more for an epic doll is always better than taking the ring. that may be a different story if we had a different way of obtaining epic dolls though.

considering its just an example, even if its set to 999 this would not affect you if you don't want to buy it, but its still better than nothing, I'm sure someone would be willing to farm for it (I'd try it). btw +1

The 999 REP was a deliberately exaggerated number, because normally you have to buy a $40 pack every month, purchase individualized ring packs, or save up 300 fortune dust per ring. It's obviously meant to be a money maker for the devs so they'd likely be resistant to making it too easy to get them.

Rings are a purely cosmetic item, it's nice that we get a few for free but ultimately it's not that big a deal that you need to drop a few bucks to get them
Compared to the rare dolls, which totally kneecap your units if you don't have enough, I think the Ring of Fate economy is fine the way it is. You're not meant to be able to give one to all of your units. They would be far less special if you could.
(And if you desperately want another ring, there's always the Fortune Dust shop.)

We barely get dust so either way the wait for a ring is long and this wouldn't harm anything
It could be limited to only new events like paper disks
