oh i know you know fuckall about trigun but they actually brought him back for a callback cameo in trigun stampede along with the og vas for wolfwood and knives, the 3 of them had cameo voice acting as radio announcers in tristamp
btw the author of trigun is also the author of kekkai sensen (if you know Sugar song and bitter step, which is the ending for season one of it's anime)
and both are really heartfelt series depicting the spirit of people
i say people and not "humanity" because both series include prominent characters that are non human
trigun is a lot more gritty
but kekkai sensen feels more slice of life and shows the everyday wonderfulness of peoples bonds
it does get dark here and there but i don't think it's nearly as dark as trigun was
