i believe they are a part of the "starseed theory" which has become pretty problematic as its an idea that disabled people are "special" and not actually disabled but are aliens on earth that are meant to save it.

starseed is a pretty ableist and racist idea/belief which really sucks

there may be other versions but thats the only real one i know of tbh
