Ive read a bit on here and people keep mention that i can contact Deities "The same way i would contact any other deity" i was just curious, how do i even contact them in the first place ?😭 personally i wanted to contact Baphomet and try to work with Them, i just dont know how i would go about doing that, any help is appreciated

Baphomet in my experience is very sweet, they give me parental figure vibes. They’re also very understanding and enjoy when I tell them about my day and such. so first, when you look in terms of deity work before you start attempting to communicate with anyone please for the life of me learn the basics ! protection, cleansing, banishing, and vetting. this is where i'd recommend and pretty much anyone here would recommend and it's more so a safety precaution in a way. think when you get a new job or start a new science class u gotta go through the basics of protection within those fields first before you deep dive.

in terms of communication, you could use a pendulum for yes or no questions quickly but make sure you're reaching out directly to said entity (using this as a catch all term). tarot is my preferred way of communication as well as my clair senses. clair senses can be worked on through meditation and can be amazing in terms of spirit/entity work.

^ this is a great curated resource regarding lots of information from staff/members regarding demon work so i def would say start there.

demons can and will be intense. i'm not saying this to make you back away from it or shy away from it by any means. i work very closely with a lot of demons and communicate with them regularly. however, they are fairly blunt and are a little tougher w the lessons they teach. they will call you out on your bullshit. working w demons can be quite a rollercoaster as there's a lot that goes into it. it's not the same as regular deity work in regards to the way your working relationship is with them. you will be constantly be doing research regarding the topic and said demons. i think a big thing i really stress is respect within working with them. you can't always joke around w them in the same terms you can with Gods/Goddess (not saying it's not the same w them but imo i could at first joke w Hades easier than Lucifer). make sure you respect their boundaries PLEASE please respect their boundaries. don't go asking them about someone elses practice for giggles. it's not taken lightly. it's also important to keep your experiences w them personal to you unless given permission to share. i do not share every single experience i've had w the demons i work w nor do i share all of them due to the fact it's just something they don't want me to

This is why Catholics don't "pray" to angels or saints, but "venerate" or "petition" them! In my defense! It's not my fault. It was around the time that we were working with a few demons and eventually we were presented with an ultimatum which was basically her or the demons could stay. We chose the demons so we cleansed the stuff devoted to her and moved on without really saying much. I gues she didn't like that cause then our apartment keys went missing the next time we foraged some mint amd we had to spend the next 6 months picking the lock to our own apartment. as for checking I would go for divination as it's one of the ways to communicate with entites
as for signs I go with the rule of 3 or more in that I wait to see something 3 or more times before taking it in as a sign.

Update on this: I got into contacting Loki and WE HIT IT OFF 😄🙏😄

that would vary depending on your beliefs and well your experience in general, some people have that "one sided" belief (I wouldn't call it that cause maybe they don't expect a clear answer but I'm sure they believe their deity listens) and other people believe and practice really active communication with their deity/deities

whenever i contact them through divination such as tarot they usually fling out a card as a response, if a deity is reaching out theyre probably sending you signs. for example when loki was reaching out to me he sent me flies and spiders. if you want to communicate back you could ask for a sign through a dream or something obvious by using divination, or just like saying in a prayer to them and be like “hey if youre reaching out could you please send a sign?”

so first things that I would recommend you doing is making sure that you have your basics down this would be: vetting protection cleansing grounding and warding.
after this you can sort of let him know that you're willing to start a worshiping sort of relationship and build from there!

it's definitely a red flag that your deities are lying to you but you have to remember that deities aren't without flaws. expecting them to cater to any requests that you have and expecting exact time and dates for things can be pushing them to their limits

if you're finding that your deities can't keep specific timeline promises maybe try asking for things to happen with a more vague timeline that is better for them to be able to adhere to

there's also could entirely depend on what exactly it is you're asking them or what exactly their promising you

Well first is Lilith is not a deity, she is a demon within Judaism
Second if you're not a Jewish practitioner, she wouldn't be reaching out as she comes from a closed culture
(Someone who is more knowledge will probably pop in real quick with more information regarding that as I'm not Jewish I can only repeat what I've heard)

However if you do believe a deity is reaching out it is perfectly okay to tell them like "hey your cool thanks for stopping by but I am not reading to be working with deities" and they will understand

You can also just worship them, it's not like working. Just setting up a simple altar, maybe saying a prayer every other day or something of the sort. It's very chill

this is interesting how opinions may differ on even such things tbh. I think my interpretation comes from how my family interacts with their faith? They're muslims btw, so there is, of course, the prayers throughout the day, which are definite acts of devotions, and then things like Eid el kebir which happened last week, that are big offerings, but there is also the small, tiny, everyday things, like saying Bismillah before eating or like when my dad would turn on the car, sending a quick prayer to Allah and such, and I integrated that those things are still acts of devotion, so lighting a candle like I do most nights and sending a prayer to or thanking deities, I also consider to be a devotional act, even if it's small, instead of and offering, like, say, creating that perfume a few days ago or taking the time to blend fragrance oils into a specific one to be used for special occasions or rituals involving them

I consider all my patrons my family, like I’m a godchild so there’s my mom and dad, and the other deities that stick around are my aunts and uncles. And even tho they’re gods, some extremely powerful, I treat them like they’re human people, like an actual close family member. I get them into human culture, occasionally vent to them, and a lot of times ask for favors lol. For me I don’t really worship them, I just know them,and they respect that. so I recommend to treat your gods with respect and value, but also but some respect on your name too, because you’re not just a mortal human, you’re a soul, and your soul could mean a lot more than you realize
