Right now I feel like a pressure on the top of my head like someone is giving me head pats or resting their arm there and this sensation of my cheeks being pinched 😭 and the energy is very warm and loving and also cuddly? There's a tinge of youth in it as well.

The funny thing about my altar setup is that it used to be a desktop computer desk and now it's where our old printer is at and on top happens to be my collection of funko pops.

Both Lady Aphrodite and Lord Hades share the space and Lord Hades occupies the funko side while Lady Aphrodite occupies the side of this old flower basket from a wedding that one of my relatives went to that currently houses old sunglasses of mine and a crown prop (coincidentally I think the basket used to have roses in it and its adorned with pink ribbons)

The entire set up just reminds me of Wednesday and Enid 😂😂😂

Believe me, I didn't either. I was watching this documentary about yakult and stuff on fb before and surprise they got what I think was a skincare line? Yeah.

okay so like since I have like brainrot over pjo, almost every single one of my friends think I'm either a child of athena and just recently, i got told i got the vibes of an aphrodite kid BUT this ramble stems on with my worry about me saying that 'i don't want to be a daughter of aphrodite in the pjoverse' bc I'm worried i may or may have offended lady aphrodite or have upset her by saying that when I know they're not the same and it just has me overthinking JHFSJHDBFJHB and I feel like i gotta explain myself to aphrodite bc i call her mother or mama in a sense how people say 'mother is mothering' type of thing? I’ve noticed a lot of people mention “seeing” their deities. Is this common? And can someone explain it to me better, because I know it’s not like seeing a physical person

I can answer this!

So! More often than not, when a person mentions "seeing" something like a deity, spirit, or otherwise, they don't mean with their actual eyes but rather the mind's eye via clairvoyance (clear seeing). It's kinda like in our imagination, but not something we're actively trying to fabricate.

It's certainly not uncommon, but it's also not required for entity work of any kind

I tend to buy her pretty things as offerings to put on her shelf, I have a jewelry box of stuff just for her, most of the Jewelry has butterflies, rose quartz, or seashells! She has a bunch of seashells from me, I light rose incense as offerings to her, I have flowers I got for her in a vase, some artwork of Aphrodites flower symbol, a piece of artwork with the woman symbol, pink candles, but also light blue. Rhodonite is another great stone for her. For devotional acts I dedicate time for self care, I have lotions dedicated just for devotional acts, and whenever I see a lake I sit down inside of it for a while or just with it and meditate. I’ve found she sends me signs in the form of rabbits most!

So here’s the story: I was talking with Satan about Jesus and he was saying about how he hates him because he’s too nice. (They kind of remind me of Gumball and Alan) And I told him he should just talk to him because he just hates his dad and not him, and volunteered to counsel them. So then he left, Apollo’s here eating some grapes and chicken with wine and I’ll just have to wait a couple of hours to see what happens.

Anyways, I ate some of it and decided to offer half of it to Lord Hades in the way how most foods to cthonic gods get offered; either disposing of them or burying them and in my case, I went for the disposal route but was very worried that if I were to go and do that, it sounds dirty BUT ANYWAYS

I wrapped the offering up and lit my candle for Lord Hades, showed him the offering I had and told him it was for him and I disposed of it last night and I was super nervous bc I wasn't sure if he would.

Either way, I think he liked it bc if I remember correctly, his candle was flickering happily when I did offer it to him and then I get a dream where I'm my current age now and my grandpa who had passed when I was 15, was alive, and I had taken him out for a day out at the mall and he wasn't sick or anything.

We went to this cozy restaurant that had a couple few people in it but everyone seemed to be happy and stuff (most of them were like families and stuff and some had old people and I just got the sense that this might be a part of the Underworld) and the scene changed to where I'm suddenly at our local church and columbarium and I had just finished visiting my grandpa's grave and there's this vending machine and I wanted a drink but the machine was closed and it was around dusk in my dream and I was walking home and I passed by a closed off road to my left about a beauty contest that had prize money in it and on my right was a funeral wake and when I saw the wake for the recently departed, I heard myself say rest in peace in italian out of respect for the dead and offering my condolences to the family and there was just this certain vibe of approval that i just got that hung around the air and then I was back at home and woke up.

I feel like that my grandpa in my dream wasn't quite my grandpa in a matter of speaking tbh

I had the same thought. About my grandpa being Lord hades in disguise and I also had this inching suspicion that my entire dreamscape that takes place in my neighbourhood and places I'm familiar with happens to be the Underworld. Bc the soda machine wasn't working and had no stock in it and knowing the rules of the Underworld, if you eat something from there you never get to leave.

I dont know what Lord Hades' message is but if this has something to do with like me feeling very nervous during my food offering to him, I think this is his way of telling me I shouldn't be afraid or nervous around him.

But either way, I'll ask him about it later through my pendulum and tarot cards.

Loki reached out to me through two different readers my freshman year of college. I have ALWAYS been drawn to the wolf and many of Loki’s symbols as well as a fascination in Norse mythology and culture. I dreamed of Loki a few times, but stepped away from my practice for a couple of years due to trauma reasons. During this time, I would see signs from Loki including a cabin full of spiders and dream about him when I lived in Alaska. I dreamed about seeing orcas four nights in a row before I saw them on my tours which I now believe was Loki’s doing as I was the only naturalist out of a team of 10 that saw them as often as I did. Recently when I got back into the practice, I kept dreaming about Loki and seeing signs of him. I realized that my novel series has a character that pretty much perfectly mimics Loki’s stories in Norse mythology without knowing them previously!

I’ve had a SUPER similar experience the last couple of days realizing that Aphrodite has been with me for quite some time. In high school I’d dream about a blonde lady on a beach in a garden. Roses have always been my favorite flower and I’ve been THE hopeless romantic for as long as I’ve known. But she made me aware in my opening meditation to her that I’ve felt her presence so many times throughout growing up and girlhood. Over the summer I felt her presence when I was dressed in pink at a spa in Canada getting ready to go to the Barbie movie with a group of girls I’d met in Alaska.

I think I reached out to Aphrodite more than she reached out to me (maybe) but Loki that was most definitely not the case and he reached out to me loud and clear even during the time I wasn’t practicing. Also it’s a long story but spiders saved my life in high school by tw abuse ||getting me out of an abusive relationship by scaring me away from his house for the very last time|| and I’ve got a tattoo of a little spider on my hip because I thank them for saving my life.

So it's like lenten season/holy week and I'm a born and raised catholic and just early this morning, I got a whiff of the incense that they use in church as if someone had swung the incense holder towards me and I was like 'myrrh?? what?? its 4 am' and felt the same vibe of serenity and calmness you feel when attending a mass and the thing is, this is like the second time it's happened to me but in different locations this taking place in the bathroom after I showered, everyone was asleep and I'm the only one awake while the other was when I was looking out the terrace during the first wee hours of ash wednesday (added side info: this was like the scent of palm leaves burning mixed with the scent of incense BUT I know the local church had burned them the previous day, so it wouldn't make any sense for the air to smell like that especially if the church is far from me but the scent itself felt like it was right across my house)

For even more added info: the nearest church in my neighborhood is about 4 to 5 minutes away from my house especially on foot.

So now my only thought is that either I'm being haunted by Jesus himself probably wants to talk or work with me or I need sleep 😭😭😭

that is more than likely not a sign but a quirk from the candles manufacturing/you having soot on the wick after putting it out before

sparking / popping is caused by debris and stuff being near the flame so like soot, random stuff in or around the candle, if its near dust, etc

Hello! I thought it would be a great idea to share this experience with you 💗

Since last year, I've been communicating with lady Artemis (I wouldn't say 'working' yet, because I'm not quite sure if what I do could be considered as working) but I grew up in a Catholic family, so I have some religious trauma, so it's been hard for me to truly believe that she's communicating with me, and that she answers when I pray to her, since I'm used to not being listened to.

I've been struggling with my craft lately due to mental health, but I decided that I should be more responsible in my craft and since she's the deity I worship, I decided to read a book about her. My name is not very common in my country, and I've never met someone with the same name as me. So the thing is, I'm reading this book about her and I see that Artemis' worship extended to some other countries besides Greece, and the name of one of those countries catches my attention, so I decide to Google it and translate it to my mother tongue, and I'm not lying to you, the translation to my first language is literally my own name.

I am so shocked. I remember telling her a few days ago that I still was recovering from religious trauma and that it was hard for me to believe that she was reaching out to me, even though she has given me signs. Okay so just a random realization that's kind of goofy but also related to like my deities

So as of late, I've been hearing Seven Wonders by Fleetwood Mac playing in repeat in my head and the last time that happened was because I had major last song syndrome over it and now its resurfaced again for some ungodly reason

Then I was talking to my cousin about this certain tumblr post and it led into me pointing out the types of guys I usually fall for which are guys who are like smart but also athletic and artistically inclined???? and my first love happens to fall into the artistically inclined ones who are also smart, now the only reason why I'm bringing this up is because he's born on the 7th, then during dinnertime today I suddenly remembered this one tradition about birthday cakes and how they're connected to artemis and brought it up bc my sister and dad and I were talking about cakes, and then I have a cat named Seven who's like this stray cat that's orange BUT SOMEHOW LOOKS ORANGE GOLD NOW???because we found her at a 711 across our house around 7-8 pm after dinner and I think I've mentioned this here how Apollo and Artemis have been like a great influence on me as a child and some of my ocs, how I like wolves or wolf adjacent canines, and drawn to archery and etc.

And I was talking to my cat a few moments ago and the realization clicked to me during that time and I just squinted at Apollo (bc his bust was sitting on top of our dresser next to my tarot cards) and just went

I was browsing r/pagan on reddit and I came across a post that resonated with me. The OP was asking:

Is it possible to believe in all pagan beliefs, like Hellenic, Sumerian, Norse, or can you only believe in one? I'm mainly confused because pagan sounds like a single belief but it's with multiple smaller beliefs that often contradict each other if each belief is compared to each other.

I come from a Coptic Orthodox Christian home so sometimes it's hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that there ARE other Deities out there. The thing that confuses me is that a lot of Pantheons have deities that created the world/universe as well as Gods/Goddesses that share similar roles, like Hathor and Freyja are both Goddesses associated with fertility. For instance, Khonsu and Selene are both associated with being a deity of the moon.

I'm not sure if I am making any sense but it has been on my mind for a while and I just wanted some help to understand all of this.

so the thing is that there's a reason why so many gods share similar roles and it's because everybody in the world experienced almost nearly the same thing like seeing the Sun or experiencing lightning or feeling love and these are things they then personified and made stories about in order to share their experiences with both each other and other parts of the world!

so although they may "contradict" each other, each version is special in its own way because of that distinction and no version of anything is wrong because it's all true to some person on Earth.

so you can believe that they all exist because it's not a singular belief. pagan as a whole is pre-christian beliefs from different spaces

we as human beings created stories and people in those stories in order to explain what it is that is happening to us that is palatable and easy to understand.

like this may be controversial to say but deities don't really exist unless we are here to share those stories which is why there are a lot of religions that are lost to time because there's nobody alive today to believe in them.

I won't necessarily say that like all gods are human creation but without us there's no one to really believe in them in order to share their stories.

If today everybody stopped being a Christian and never talked about Christianity in post that version of G-d wouldn't exist to us

Today we went to this place called Farm Plate and it's essentially this open park and garden where it also works as a camp site and its western themed and they had this open bonfire and stuff and since I've been reading PJO as of late and stuff and they were offering at least a portion of their food to the Gods, I thought to myself why not offer some food for my deities as well?

Though I did say 'Gods of Olympus, please accept my humble offerings.' Which were like a portion of my own food that consisted of garlic bread and some fries and threw them into the fire.

I think they liked it because I feel like a sense of calm wash over me afterwards (that or I'm just really tired and sleepy rn)

I would say that it might not be best to go into a relationship with a god with the idea that it could be a "bad news" situation
