oh. well in that case we can write off the possibility that it has developed a soul, animism style. That usually takes something like a 100 years. As for a possession, not likely, it means it would be passive 99.99% of the time; entities dont see that point in that. It could possibly be cursed, under certain conditions.

17 years is my whole life personally and i see that as a long time, what ive believed through my childhood is that a spirit can grow any time in any object.
This doll has been surronded by family and our energy as vespian said. I was so attached to the little doll that when i found out that my mom haf been 'playing' him / he wasnt 'real' i refused to pack him away before i moved rooms 2 years later yet still holding onto that hes real bc i always felt something

yes that is what I mean. being able to have what living people would call conversations. the best mediums I work with can do that. and if they hadn't always been able to to do it as easy as having dinner, I would have asked them to teach me. but they just do something that is very natural for them.

and that is what I need. conversation level mediumship. When I ask 'why is this man having trouble breathing?' I need to hear "there are lumps in his lower left lung and he needs to seek a doctor as soon as possible'. What I am getting now amounts to a picture of a chicken sitting on top of a pig. I have no idea what it means and because of that, the person I am trying to help might not get to a doctor in time.

well I think it's first important to note that not everybody can reach that level of skill because not everybody has the means of doing so

mediumship at its core is a method of explaining clairesenses, particularly ones of clairvoyance and in your case claireaudiance.

and personally in my opinion you really shouldn't be using mediumship skills to diagnose people with medical conditions cuz you're not a doctor. /gen

if what you're wanting is to eventually be able to speak with spirits anymore personalized level that's one thing but it's another to then use your gifts to become a sort of speaker of medical matters. as a server we don't really allow that kind of stuff to be done so if that's what you're looking to get help in you're going to have to find that elsewhere.

so there is imo three steps of dealing with gods:
worship - which is honoring them and offering things without expecting anything in return
communication - which is what it sounds like communicating with deities for various means
and working with - this is when you offer things in exchange for their help in your practice, either spell wise or energy wise

all of these tend to be done in tandem with each other by a lot of people however some entirely separate them from each other and only worship or only work with or only communicate with deities

worship on its own is entirely fine you don't need prerequisites to do that. people have been worshiping gods for millennia

however when you get into the stages of communicating and working with you kind of need to learn what some basic understandings rules and protections there are for yourself when dealing with these deities

#

when I'm talking about basics this is what I'm referring to:

Basics for entity communication
these basics (which the server has dubbed bernie's basics) are essential to master before contacting deities or entities!

to master a skill, you should know what exactly the skill is, why it's performed and how it's used, know several methods of performing each skill, and have actually tested the skill and used it successfully regularly!

cleansing: clearing your space and/or your body of unwanted energies! smoke cleansing, sound cleansing, visualization, etc
grounding: becoming aware of your physical self and connecting with your surroundings! promotes spiritual + mental stability and focus
protections: keeping yourself spiritually safe! can be done in a variety of ways - spellwork, talismans, sigils, etc
banishing: getting any entity that you don't want in your space out! the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram (lbrp) is an example of a well-known banishing ritual.
vetting: making sure that the deity is who they say they are and is not a trickster spirit/something other than what they say they are. pendulums are frequently used to ask questions about the deities' mythos to verify they are not a trickster spirit/something other than what they say they are.

as always, make sure to do outside research as well and utilize your discernment!

Hi! I was unsure of who or what to turn to for help… so here I am.

My family and I experienced a lot of paranormal activity at our previous home. The house itself was built during the 60s and sits only a few feet away from the river that runs through the city (this is important information for later). When I was younger, maybe around the ages of 3-5, I would point my finger at random places (a door, a wall, etc) and say things like “That’s my friend!” or “Hi friend!”. Now listen, I know it’s completely normal for children to have imaginary friends at this age, however, I don’t believe that’s the case.

  1. I never actually played with “my friend”

  2. Every family member of mine has their own account of experiences with “my friend”

My uncle woke up in the middle of the night to the figure of a young girl standing over his bed. He assumed it was me and told her to go back to sleep.

A few weeks later my mom would wake up in the middle of the night to the same thing. Thinking it was me, she grabbed my hand and led “me” back to bed only to find that I was already there. She looked back down at her hand and the young girl was gone.

It wasn’t until years later that they would tell each other what had happened.

And although my dad never saw the young girl for himself, he claims to have seen a glowing white orb zoom past him as he was heading downstairs (a common ghost sighting).

Now here’s where it gets interesting. My grandpa claims to have known the family who lived there previously. I won’t go into too much detail, but their daughter went missing only to be found ||dead|| by the river a few weeks later. It wasn’t until after we moved that I experienced a lot of strange, unexplained violence. For example, objects flying at me, hair being pulled, legs being scratched, etc. I can’t help but feel as if something is angry with me? Any advice?

so there's no real indication here that the things that happened to you in your past are directly connected to what's happening to you now. there are ways that you could be certain through methods like divination if it's available to you. (pretty much using things like tarot cards to ask if these two incidents are connected)

I would highly suggest that the next steps to be taken are going to be cleansing and banishing, reguardless. this is going to help you by getting rid of anything in your space that shouldn't be there or causes you harm

if you've gotten any new objects recently I would highly suggest cleansing and banishing those as well.

So as I said before, in simplest terms I'm a proponent of panpsychism which can basically be interpreted as "everything is consciousness".

So what then differentiates a soul from the rest of this vast sea of consciousness? Well, who the hell knows, honestly, its entirely possible our individual Qualia is some great illusion, and upon passing from mortal coil, we'll all just return to that sea as drops in its infinite waters, but!!

I'd much rather believe I'd persist beyond this body, if only that it is kinder to my own mentals believe this cannot possibly be all there is.

I'm digressing...

I think of the soul in a number of ways, but my favorite is as a tree!

The branches of this tree encompass your volume of possibility. As you make decisions and affect the world or vis versa you'll move up this tree, and while the branches will divide infinity, you can only follow the one path up -- that is your lived experience; your Qualia.

To reduce the trees branches is to damage your own soul, but the soul keeps growing; the tree will grow back, even if it is razed entirely. So long as you have the volition to BE, your possibility will grow, and the greater that volition, the larger your tree.

Hi im new to this... the beginning of the year I had a spiritual awakening.
I use to go into abandon homes... well one of the houses i went into is very old and the only thing that was in the house was a wooden stand up mirror that was covered and a wooden dresser with a small mirror as well. I brought both of them back and put them in my house. Ever since then I have had an abundance of spiritual encounters. One being The Hat Man. I have actual footage of him next to me on my security camera.
I have lots of footage that shows my dog going crazy and you can see the many different spirits in the room with her.
I know I should probably just get rid of the mirror and dresser... but im nervous I will take them back and the spirits will be in my house or something. Please any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

either of those are possible. some people are more naturally attuned than others, but regardless it usually takes some work to develop the skill. even then, having very intense experiences is less common, and usually interactions with spirits are conducted via intuition or a divinatory tool, such as tarot or pendulum.

if you want to begin spirit work, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with some basic safety precautions, and to have practiced some very basic energy/spell work before attempting.

Yeah! My favorite type of ward is a candle ward - I carve a sigil into a white candle with the intention of protecting my home and the people inside and not permitting hostile or negative energy. I rub some charcoal in, and then light it for a few minutes. Every time I light the candle, it charges the ward. You can spice it up by rolling the candle in protective oils and herbs, or adding some crystals around it

And are there any tips on if I think my child specifically was targeted spiritually? Theres always been a lot of activity around my older son. Things I've seen and heard, he has seen and experienced, as well as multiple third-parties.

some people are just more likely to be preyed on by malicious entities, particularly spiritually sensitive children. if you have any spirits you'd trust to watch over him, you could ask for their protection. you could also use divination to look into if there's a particular entity or group that's targeting him for some reason that needs to be dealt with. you could also put protection on him/your home yourself, and I'd definitely keep a close eye on the entities that are allowed to enter your family's space.

Animal autist here! Apples and other fruits typically arent too great for Fawns ! They're really great as a snack or a treat but due to the high sugar content its not really too good for them
Since its a fawn spirit aka a baby, maybe offer it some goats milk? Fawns are typically fed with Goats milk if anything else isnt available and their still in the soft feed part of their life!
Sometimes baby cereal or baby rice is blended into the mixture! General rule dont feed young fawns anything solid!
You can also maybe make a flower crown or even just a grass crown! Oh and twigs ! Alot of animals will eat the bark (iirc) off most twigs or generally just use them to scrath themselves

Are there any verteren spiritual empaths that have tips on strengthening ones connection to the other side? In my life I found that my emotional empath side has slowly grown stronger as I've adapted to better understanding of my own expression of feelings.
I've grown to adapt to the surroundings energy put off by my partner or the room. And continue to build upon my reactions to it.

But I feel like I'm not sure how to grow my spiritual empath side that I can use as a connection to the other side. I can sense the energy of a room and have tried to open my eyes to the other side. But I feel there is a barrier I've yet to learn to break.

Whatever method you're comfortable with honestly. The ones we've done have been communicated through divination and our clair senses
For us the process was
have spirit around, want to have them as a familiar, talk with them about it, ask what they would like to do as our familiar, write it all down, al if they agree to the terms, give them a name, sign, and keep it somewhere safe (this can also mean digitally!)

I have been looking into spirituality and stuff for a week and I think I'm getting tormented by one ghost, it all started when I first moved into my home, it used to be owned by nuns and is really old so a lot of people have passed but since nuns lived there I think it would be a bit less spiritual. When I was packing my things to my window a box of my own hair and one of my teeth my mom lost in my old house hit me in the back of my head and when I turned around no one was there! Nothing else has really happened except for occasional light tapping on my walls, now I've been looking into the spiritual world I was watching a video on it last night and I felt like I was being watched so I went to sleep and woke up at 3 am in a cold sweat, I got frightened and went back to bed and didn't look around my room in case something would happen. Today I was watching another video on it and my phone started glitching (it is new and fully charged an never has before) and the sound cut out, then I heard vicious scratching on my walls and banging on my windows and walls for a good minute until my mom walked in to feed her praying mantis which lives in my room, as well as that ever since this has started happening it has gotten sick and stopped eating which is out of the ordinary as it is quite greedy. I am currently cleansing my room with an insence stick but what else could I do as I don't think it is a friendly spirit

i would also largely make sure you are okay medically as well. Issues can be both non magical and magical so if your getting sick and so is your pet it is very important to treat those medically as best you can

Not fully a question but something I learnt from my amazing mom, she told me a way she could sense if a spiritual being is in the room with her, is if it feels like somebody is behind her, but no one is. It's like a tingly feeling of a souls presence! I've felt this experience myself, ontop of spirit encounters (deseased family, strangers, unknown entities). Wanted to know if many others have felt this to or if it's something weird in my family

Yesterday when I was doing a tarot card reading for my niece, a familiar spirit started tapping my glass candle...it was Morse code. I acted as if he was saying hello, but he was giving me a warning about her. I'm not sure how to type it word for word but simplified "she's a liar". Also during are session a bug walked onto two of her cards (neg Queen of pentangles and pos 3 of pentangles) and then disappeared right infront of us (just poof, like a spirit). I've never had something like that happen during a reading... so I am not sure what to think of it! Is anyone able to maybe give some advice or help on this topic ?
