i pulled some cards recently and i was wondering if i could get some opinions or different perspectives about it.
Context: lately ive been feeling a little bit of anxiety about my relationship with my s/o, and i wouldnt normally read cards into my own love life, but ive been seriously unsure about the effect this relationship is having on both of us.
Here are the questions i asked, the cards i got for them, and a short interpretation i took away from it.

• Q: What does he feel about the relationship - A: 2 of wands - I: He thinks we're reaching a good place, (weve overcome many difficulties i'd say since we have some major differences between us) and hes very hopeful we can/are working it out.
• Q: What i feel about the relationship - A: 3 of cups - I: (i struggle personally with identifying my emotions, so most of the times i pick the most neutral route and am unsure of a lot, which he is aware of). Im not exactly sure how to interpret this one, but could it possibly be saying that i think i'd be better off with just having friends and not being in any romantic relationship? (Its the only interpretation i can think of since i know i struggle with mental health a good bit, and i know it can be a big hit on relationships and the people in them, so ive thought about just avoiding relationships fully)
• Q: Where is the relationship right now? - A: 8 of swords - I: I think we're actually struggling and in a tight spot right now. The relationship isnt exactly doing the best and there are problems that have to be adressed before we can progress positively.
• Q: Where will the relationship be in a year? - A: The star (XVII) - I: In the future there will be hope and the relationship will be in a generally good place with a good connection between us, might i also say it could shine brightly like the star in the night?

What also really stuck out to me was that i reshuffled this pull three times because i felt like something was off about it. The 2 of Wands, 3 of Cups, and The Star all showed up twice in the same spots.

So the three of cups, while yes, indicating something along the lines of friendship, can also be a card about celebrating and collaboration. It may mean that you specifically, feel like in order for you to have a proper good place for your relationship you and your partner need to collaborate on the ways to get there the best.

If i'm being completely honest, it feels like the rest of this reading is pretty set in a similar tone of where your relationship may not be in the best place right now, but it's working towards that. the main issue is that you both have to be willing to actively do that work to get there.

Initially I thought it was Aphrodite cause I had seen lots of love-based explinations, but After you had shown me who is tied to Knight of Cups, Hermes and Horus both kinda popped up for me. Funnily enough, at the same time, my friend had mentioned interest in the egyptian pantheon. On the other hand, I kinda feel it could be Tyr.

id say that the unexpected concept isnt a bad way to read the wheel here! it may be that the way you get to the results are unexpected, but either way it will be a change.

the world is about completion and achievements, so you will have completed what you set out to do! no additional work would be needed for that specific outcome

So, I think I’ve been seeing signs from Lady Hekate for a handful of weeks now. It started with lots of moths (I associate them with the moon and with transformation). I asked for a sign, and a massive spider scared the crap out of me at work the next day (I saw several other massive spiders for weeks after that). Probably the most obvious was when I saw a black dog at a crossroads driving home one week. Coupled with that, I’m at a major transition period in my life, having recently started college. Like, the rev. Six of Cups is pretty clear to me. Stepping outside my comfort zone, acting independently. Maybe the rev. Page of Cups is calling out my self-doubt? The rev. Sun is confusing me most of all. I don’t really know how to interpret it in conjunction with the other two cards. I also have no idea if this is a yes or no 😭

Make an ancestor alter. It can be as simple as having some family photos/memorabilia, a glass of water, some flowers and a candle or lamp. Then build a relationship with your ancestors by talking to them everyday, tell them about your life and goals and give offerings of water, snacks and flowers. If your ancestors have a fav flower or snack or hobby you can leave related items there for them. Once you build a relationship up, you can then start asking them to communicate back with signs or tarot. Make sure you have spiritual protections in place and know how to vet and banish spirits. If you don't have space for an alter then a photobook with images of your ancestors and items related to them will work. There are more books and resources online about this if you look up ancestor veneration and spiritualism.

I'd say, that's an option. Yes, I think it's also something along the lines of upheaval is the current course of action. So if you don't want to face upheaval, you kind of need to change your course of action

Hello everyone! for context, I was just in the "Demons" chat and recently I have been having odd interactions with wasps which have been continuing for two weeks now (which I asked the Demon's chat about). Friends, I need your help

I did a reading and I am flabbergasted and I need help interpreting it

Backstory: My initial patron deity was Thoth, but for the past while I began to feel like I chose him too hastily and he was not for me. I resisted this thought, but eventually I came to the conclusion that you shouldnt doubt those kinds of feelings, so I ended my patronage. Today, because of who I am as a person, decided to do research on other deities to start thinking about alternatives or something like that. I came across Ceridwen, and felt an immediate pull to her. I like what she stands for, her legends, etc. I feel a connection there. On top of that my ancestors come from the area she was primarily worshipped, so I think thats really neat and a potential cherry on top.

But I did not want to be too hasty, like I was with Thoth. I have a habit of diving in head first as fast as possible. So I stewed on it all day, and decided at midnight to do a reading on the situation. My intention was this: Should I consider her? Should I step back and wait? Should I consider others? That way of thinking.

The spread I did was this:
Signifier card to set a theme to the reading. A card for the past situation, a card for the current situation, and a card for the outcome

What I pulled was:

Signifier: Seven of Cups
Past situation: Reversed four of swords
Current situation: Two of Cups
Outcome: King of Pentacles

I was so immediately struck by the two of cups I pulled a clarifying card for that one and got The Fool

I can read this one of two ways, from my perspective:

Theme (7/Cups): Im at a crossroads with many spiritual choices; clarity is needed. Past (4/Swords Rx): I left Thoth and leapt back into searching quickly, perhaps before fully resting. Current (2/Cups + Fool): There is a genuine, reciprocal pull toward Ceridwen, and the cards suggest this is a spiritually meaningful connection. Im being invited to take a new, fresh leap — not reckless, but trusting. Outcome (King/Pentacles): If pursued, this could become a stable, fruitful, enduring patron relationship. The spread doesn’t warn against the choice — instead, it affirms the validity of the bond and encourages me to embrace it consciously and joyfully. The Seven of Cups at the start simply reminds me to keep my discernment active, but it looks very much like my intuition about Ceridwen is on point.

Current (2/Cups + Fool): I need to be patient. I have resources in my community and practice that can help me (My partner, and my BestWitchFriend in particular)- I still have growing to do, and making another decision quickly might hurt that. Outcome (King/Pentacles): When the time is right I will make the right choice and benefit from it.

Yep, there definitely times when i've had readings that i feel eithet 1 didn't fit with what was being asked, or 2 was often terms of how I know I would react in a situation.

If you don't personally feel as though a reading is accurate, that's entirely okay!

There is also the possibility that the way that it was interpreted was wrong for you personally. for example, somebody indicated that the card death meant an actual death due to the way that they interpreted it, but in reality, for me, it meant change.

Candle divination revolves around reading the wax, reading the fire, reading the smoke to see what images you can and then using intuition to tell you what they mean.

Since these are specifically about magic spell candles, you might want to use them in spell work. so you would use orange for confidence spells red for spells around love ( i would recommend nontargeted love spells for these, or self love), the green ones for luck and the blue ones I'm assuming are meant to read wisdom in which case, you would use those for things like wisdom!

He wears a halo in the shape of an infinity symbol, symbolizing infinite potential or wisdom.

He wears a belt of a snake biting its own tail, the ouroboros, another symbol of infinity and potential.

In front of him, he has the 4 tools of the 4 suits laid out in front of him, the sword, wand, chalice and pentacle, symbolizing that he has everything he needs in his grasp to manifest the things he wants or desires, this growth and manifestation symbolized by the verdant growth around him.

i cant speak for everyone but the "established" process for readings is to choose a set of correspondences, then at the beginning of the day you pull three cards that are supposed to "give a message" or sth of the sort to whoever relate to that card (or at least thats how i think about it to give the msg to my deck) and then you can write the reveal write away or leave the cards and write the reveal later and post it!

other readers may have their own way to do it ig, but at the end of the day the objective is for the cards to be interpreted according to the correspondences since thats the only true relation to the people choosing we have

So to me it looks like you are overseeing your opportunities, and you feel as if you're stuck in your progress, the tower beight rightside up tells me that you need to change things in your life, you need to feel around and find out what feels best for you. Change is nessecary and you cannot run from it anymore, it has to be done, either by yourself in somewhat your own speed or however the universe seems it fit.
The pentecals are usually about money and prosperity so possibly that your wealth and finance has been giving you issues, possibly you "planted" something and forgot to water it and now, well not its working against you, or possibly just, not wishing you the best.

The ace of swords you're carrying too much of yourself, you need to remember that you dont have to keep everything to yourself and that your community is there for you, even if you dont feel like they are, you need to stop overthinking all of your ideas, it doesnt lead to anything but stress and exhaustion

Well in the start my readings where very much just this is the keywords of the cards, but then i started writing down all of my spreads and i noticed that if i write what this could mean in sentences i 1. get a much better flow 2. the reading gets easier 3. i get more out of the reading
Also sometimes you have to either look at the symbols on the cards, or see okay how can this card relate to the question?

Sometimes also doing a "Yes and" thing can help

on my personal interpretation first one is giving no, although they arent like absolute no's so maybe its worth looking more into it or similar approaches, and second one is giving "kinda", leaning more towards yes

answering purely by yes or no interpretation of cards

I will mention, and this is a personal preference, if you did phrase the questions like you wrote them, basically as yes or no questions, you pulled too many cards

for me yes or no questions arent worth that many cards bc it also can just get confusing

maybe one card for the yes or no and then an explanation reading if you want to see more, but even getting yes or no answers from a bunch of people would get confusing if you bring too many people to ask

I mainly use the guidebooks that come with the deck + other things ive gathered over the years like color and numbers symbolism, analyzing the figures in the reading (like animals, body expressions, etc), and also just adding what I know from my decks usual way of 'talking'

and for when to do what I mostly just trust my instincts + context, if a card plain meaning feels out of place i look at the cards around it for context, as an example maybe if the card has a person looking to the side and the side card has a certain meaning i will maybe try to make it match time wise, as maybe an alternative path depending on the side card (just an example of how to connect cards in a spread)

there's not really a right or wrong on how to do it tho, I think you kinda build your way by reading

its always fun to try things others share about how they read and then see if it feels right or not
