emperor + 8w Rx: so the rules seems to be somebody that is in a role of authority or is there to help be the role of authority in the group that they are in basically somebody that is a very powerful leader although they are very resistant to change this is where the eight reversed comes in and because they're resistant to change it can cause them to not get through their goals as quickly.

star Rx: I believe that this character is going to affect the main series in a way that tests the faith of either the characters belief in their parents or a belief in themselves and it could be because of the situations that this person brings the other characters into

justice+ ace: I'm not sure of the exact wording of the prophecy but I believe that it's going to be something about how this character brings Justice and success as well as a kind of push towards getting out of mental slumps which could call back to the idea that there's going to be a test of faith and with that test of faith could bring like a breakthrough to those effected!

high p + queen + 2 c : she's probably going to be a character that helps the other characters learn how to trust themselves more and listen to their own intuition, she's also not going to be somebody that judges the other characters but she will be a very direct character this is coming from the Queen of Swords so she'll tell them like the truth straight up but not in a mean way and this paired with the two of cups means that her relationship will be strong with the others in a way that causes them to become closer as a group in like a partnership sort of thing!

@limpid quartz you can also buy or make a pendulum, it’s a good way to ask yes/no questions. You just have to get a crystal and add it to a long chain. You have to cleanse, ground, and get to know the pendulum before using but how it works is you assign a direction for yes and one for no. Ex: no is a circle, yes is back & forth. And then focus on it and stay still, the spirit will move it for you to answer your question.

I'm also very fond of the star I love the image of the Moon. and I also believe that like death as a card has a very sort of melancholic kind of meaning for me. is very much a sort of you have to be able to move on in order to move forward kind of thing which being a death which is something that I try to push forward into both my life and my practice

I feel like whereas the tower for a lot of people is disastrous change death is sort of like a very final kind of change in that you will move forward it just might mean having to let go of something which is really hard but is something I find pretty courageous for people to be able to do

luckily though almost every single deck that I've ever gotten has come with a guidebook and if you don't have a guidebook there are sites like biddytarot.com that have pretty great meanings for the cards.

and as a final recommendation I would say start slow, use just upright meanings and the card meanings themselves, when you are comfortable with them you can see if you want to add reversals (not everyone uses them) and if you wanna start connecting with other stuff, numerology, color meanings, etc

if you try to do everything at once you may get overwhelmed and stressed bc of how hard it is to remember everything (happened to me)

okay yes so! a good like 90% of my cards out of the 8 questions i had were negative or reversed. a lot of the info from the cards was also in big conflict with a reading i had done via a love card book… overall towards the end of my reading i genuinely just felt negative, like there was genuine negative energy sitting in front of me. oddly enough, this isn’t the first time ive felt this way with my tarot deck

well just a note that a big part of reading tarot is to not go into a reading with expectations already set bc that can 100% skew the way you read a situation.
getting 100% negative cards isn't necessarily a Bad thing. and I would also avoid reading on the same situation multiple times because you're going to be getting conflicting answers especially if you're using a bunch of different decks to reach a conclusion/answer you already have

it is definitely fair that it's might be the deck itself in which you can do a cleansing or maybe a banishing on the deck.
but it also could just be that you don't mesh with that deck and if that's the case then it might be something that you would need a different deck to see about.
but as I said before you might want to avoid reading on the same situation if that's the case

that is very interesting question and the answer is no if asking about universe, the universe is open to answer any questions for u. your deck or divination tool can get tired though. it's a tool after all. take phone for example, it'll heat up if u constantly play games or run heavy apps on it.

energy is important when it comes to divination. that is why most tarot reader prefer using multiple decks or use other decks for clarifying which is a great way to gain clarity when receiving answers from the universe.

I think the fifth one is her telling me that I need to reevaluate my perspective on something, look at it from another angle potentially.

Interesting. Was doing my daily reading, and I also asked a question. I got the Sun, then the Star, and the Moon card was stuck in my deck

(when I say stuck, it was in the little box thingie the cards are in, and it didn't come out with the rest of the cards, didn't realize it until I put the rest of the deck back in it)

Yep. I mean, 3 major arcana cards pertaining to the cosmos, all three I personally interpret with positive meanings? Definitely a sign. Now a sign from what, for what or from whom? Idk. We'll see in the coming days/weeks I suppose?

(also I know the Moon card traditionally is ascribed a meaning pertaining to illusions and the like, but when I see it, I see my subconscious is trying to tell me something)

3: it seems like y'all's relationship is going to be one built on making long-term plans and about making new discoveries with yourself
4: to work best with them you're going to be asked to trust your intuition more and to possibly rely on your support system while dealing with new discoveries of yourself
5 : the thing that will probably get in your way is going to be the time needed to recuperate in between and learning when to take a step back to reevaluate any situations that you may come into

Good morning all (East Coast USA here)!

Looking for some advice - while I was raised around decks and got my first at around 10 and have possessed one other (that was lost during a turbulent year) since, most of my readings since my later 20's have used virtual/digital decks (I find such technology effective for how I work, though I know not all folks do) as I couldn't find a new copy of the lost deck, nor could I find a new deck that spoke to me. When I did finally track down a new copy of the lost deck, I found it no longer spoke to me (also, it turned out to be an oracle deck, which was not what I'd been using virtually, nor what I wanted). Luckily, I located two new decks I wanted to try over the last few years.

I acquired both several months ago, but did not break them in at that time due to me going through it right then, and only recently have I been feeling like my emotional volatility has gone down to a point where I felt comfy introducing myself. I have been keeping them nearby, but in silk, since.

I would LOVE any tips folks have found useful when beginning to work with a new deck, cautions, etc., since it has been literal DECADES since I started with a brand new physical deck, and I'm sure I've forgotten things.

Well, I can only tell you what I do personally in my own practice, as I'm unsure of what others practitioners do (basically I looked up what was advised when I started my practice, decided on what felt right for me and forgot everything I researched that didn't serve me lol)?
I got new decks quite recently, and, to be honest, I don't do a lot when that happens. First, I take the deck still in its box in my hand, feel the energy around it and cleanse it with my energy, then I take out the cards and knock on them three times just to be sure before pouring my own energy into the deck.
From there, I just sit a bit with the deck, looking through the cards, appreciating the art and such, and then I shuffle and ask a question (usually: is there a message you want to convey to me?) so that I can get a feel of the deck, like if it's going to read me to filth, or be gentler in its messages. I know there are spreads to get to "know" your deck that have a specific number of cards or something, but I just shuffle and wait for cards to pop up as needed. I think for all my decks I usually got something like one to three cards, which is just fine as I like to get to the point.
And when that's done, I thank the deck and put it back in its case to be organized with the rest of my collection and for the next reading.
