Brass Knuckles
Increases the damage of punch attacks.

Weighted Cuffs
Punches knock enemies back further.

Vital Points
Punches have a chance to slow the enemy.

Sleight of Hand
Punching an enemy may make them drop some of their loot early.

As much as i and others want a fist-based class, i think we need to accept that it just wouldn't work well without becoming not-really-that-fist-based. This is my suggestion for a different way to give some attention to bare-handed fighting! I personally don't care for most of the accessory slot augments, so to me these would be a very welcome alternative!

I sort of like this idea, giving the option for a fist build while not having a whole new class that might not offer much changes

But the crit build for sword already exists, so why not 🤷

It would be cool if there was a relic for fists "that show a red glow. Once you hit the red glow it is considered as a crit and/or extra damage

obviously it'd be small, like a coin or two and sometimes a key, but just something to reward a risker fighting style

Hmm it's tricky because i feel like that could easily throw the balance heavily in that one augment's favour, everyone would prefer it over anything else.
I do get that Sleight of Hand on its own isn't super useful though, i myself always make sure to kill all enemies anyways but i figured maybe people with a different playstyle (those that run ahead and skip killing enemies) would appreciate it?

Idk how people who skip enemies could appreciate it if you're gonna waste time shaking down enemies for money

I was considering something like more loot when i first wrote it up but i also wanted to be careful that the fist-based augments wouldn't be guaranteed better than all the existing accessory augments, i suppose maybe as a drawback it could lower your bare-handed damage a bit? Because when you "pickpocket" someone you aren't exactly being violent about it haha

I dont think it should have a downside if all it's gonna do is give you a coin an extra hit or two early

A couple coins to reward a riskier play style isn't gonna break the game

If your bare-handed damage was weaker that might work more in your favour actually, keeps them alive longer for more hitting them, could be handy if you're desperate for a few more coins for shopping or something before leaving a floor
