My friend and I were playing a run on multiplayer and quickly realized we were not playing on the same map. For the most part it was the same, but every now and then rooms would exist for one of us that didn’t exist for the other. It was mostly fine until my friend got stuck with no way to progress. Any attempts to teleport to me caused him to fall into the void. Beating the boss just caused him to start falling forever when the previous floor despawned. I was playing on Quest 2 and he was on Oculus Rift.

When did that happen? As in:
- On what floor
- Was it base game or NG+x
- Was it the first run in that lobby?
We noticed it on floor 1, but it didn’t result in a soft lock until floor 2. This was base game. This was not the first run in the lobby, but it was right after a player left the lobby. This was our first run with fewer players
Did you use hardmode in your singleplayer games before this?
Were you hosting?
The run itself was also no harmode I guess?
Yes, but I don't know where it is placed on Quest.
If it follows the same line as on PC, then probably the same folder as the save files if you know where those are
It should be called Player(.log)
Hm...
Would be weird if Quest didn't do logs...
You checked all sub folders, right?
I'm out of ideas then, sorry😅
Not too familiar with Quest
just happened to a buddy and i on a super juiced up run. extremely sad and discouraging
This happened to Kenpachi and I again just now, playing on PC through Steam, normal base game mode, no mods, standard sword/knife builds, I was the host, final floor before the boss.
This time it actually let me start the boss by myself and it teleported him into the room with me when the boss spawned, but when I revived him, he fell through the map
This is exactly what happened to me and my friend
It might be an issue with hard mode, we are investigating
Wiz and I had this issue in just Normal mode, 2/2 times different sessions. Actually making the game unplayable at this point.
I think the/one working theory is, that one player gets hard mode applied in some way (from their last run in singleplayer for example) and the other one doesn't, which screws with the generation of the dungeon
Interesting, I dont think either @ember egret and I have attempted hard mode yet on singleplayer or multiplayer. We've been playing pretty mcuh together the whole time, it first the first time we got to the boss then after that it-s been bricking me out of it.
Does it happen every time for you?
Do you have different progress in the game or roughly similar
Seed from the first run it happened on, we are both new to the game, about 4 hours total with no completions yet. Both playing through SteamVR
We were able to fight this final boss one time and we died, ever since then we've gotten back to it twice and it happened both times
little clip from the second time it happened (yesterday), this time he was in the right area but you can see his character hit the invisible wall
My friend and I that had the issue were playing on normal mode and had not used hard mode recently. My friend was new and had very little game progress while my account is only missing a few crossbow upgrades
@sour sundial maybe we need to test with different save configurations
Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't this the issue we ran into with subsequent runs?
Maybe it is, not entirely sure
Was this happening in the first run you did in a multiplayer lobby or was this only happening when doing another run in the same lobby after you died?
It’s been a while, but if I remember right, we had just beat a run with 3 players and one of us hopped off before we started another run
