Usually they instakill after getting in the player's sight range but sometimes it dosen't happen and their AI can still be a LITTLE active
Also, in alternate floors the roof does not have collision on the top so that's why

In a no hit run I would genuinely rather having a chance to deal with this than have the stupid merchant teleport into me because it just decided it was fed up with me.
