If you are standing up whilst the person in front of you is sitting down, if an enemy like the beast, elder skeleton, or the rabid bestiary shoots a horizontal wave of projectiles at them it will be angled downward and is impossible to dodge because you can not crouch enough by the time it reaches you, it is too fast to run away from, and can not be blocked or parried.
I am not sure how this issue would be fixed. Maybe horizontal attacks will not angle downward in multiplayer? Maybe if they angle downward they will deal no damage to somebody standing tall enough?

Taking one damage here or there is fine unless you’re doing NG+++ with a guaranteed death on hit
