#Buggy mic audio once game loads up?

Hey there,

I've noticed before I load up and start playing the game that I'm streaming (WoW), the audio quality is fine, but once I start running WoW, the mic quality drops and everything sounds fuzzy and chopped.

Any idea on how to remedy this?

Thanks,
Adam

what's your computer specs? are you using a special mic that requires software?

open up task manager and see if your cpu/gpu is overloading. there you can find cpu/gpu model and ram size.

#

if your mic has driver installed, make sure it's updated.

Thanks for trying to help out by the way

you have to lower the resource usage for the game or twitch studio

#

hitting 100% = throttle

in the game? lower graphic settings
twitch studio? remove layers will help

monitor your cpu usage. twitch studio, goto edit scenes, check every scenes and remove unnecessary layer

Didn't work, but I'll look into other options, thanks

Kind of dumb asking this on this server, but are there any other recommended studios other than Twitch Studio to stream on Twitch?

My mic never goes foggy when I run WoW and Discord so I'm guessing it's TS

You’re out of resources. 80% cpu doesn’t leave much for windows functions like a mic to function without lag (fuzziness)

Yeah looks like

Is it normal that a $1,100 laptop bought last year can't handle streaming?

Depends on the hardware and your stream quality settings. My laptop is about a year old. It's an i7-10750, 2700super, and 32gig ram. I an usually safely stream at 720p30fps while playing my games on high/ultra.

Also make sure you're using a cooling pad for the laptop. Thermal throttling is huge on laptops.
