ability to change characters mid-game!

if the characters are based on a rock paper scissors doctrine, then yeah you have to be able to change, otherwise we should'nt allow it

maybe add this in quickplay but not in ranked. imagine them switching to kevin just to destroy your windows and then switch back for a doreen or something

I don’t think the characters are rock paper scissors though? I don’t think gramps counters anyone? Or Kim. I think the damage and tank characters are the ones that win most fights, but if you get the right weapon you can still win against them

i wanna add something to this. There are no big big counters you need to kill someone, there are multiple ways to stop/counter something. You just need to know the ways.

chad ability, bear traps, kims wrench throw, future characters like PA...

That doesn’t mean he counters him, he can just avoid him. Your jobs as gramps is to live, then help your team get kills you don’t need to be getting kills yourself as long as you know how to survive, throw packs at the ground, run, etc

bear trap isnt a character and i dont think every1 is playing kevin, to COUNTER kevin

isnt that in every game? what about valorant, can you change your character mid game? No

Are you familiar with the ow 5v5 tank swapping issues? this would just lead to that if you believe its a rock paper scissors game.

Lets say youre playing rock and the enemy is playing paper, from your POV you say you just lose, so you swap to scissors to counter the enemy, well now you win.
The enemy now swaps to rock to beat you, now they win!
Well you swap to paper now to win... etc...

You see how this would be a problem? I really don't think that the game is RPS because you can buy weapons.

Also, by knowing what the enemy is you know what to look out for, it would be very insane if suddenly the entire team swaps to kevin and camps your roof, when all your turrets and traps are placed in the yard, or the opposite, you protect the roof and they attack as granny from the yard with ults.
