#Frame dips/Freezing/Stutter with NV 4000 series GPUs & AMD 5000 series CPUs

Has anyone experienced frame dips that seem to make the game freeze up or stutter during movement? I have not tracked the issue with graphs yet, but with a 240 fps cap, I see it regularly drop to 225/226 fps whenever I notice the freezes. It feels like the game is hitching. If anyone has found a fix to keep the game 100% smooth, which it is without this hitching, can you please share? I wonder if it may be a UE4 shader compilation issue or something with the anti-cheat as I do not recall experiencing this during the playtests earlier this year.

I captured this during a match of Invasion. The 1% and 0.1% lows were captured for a short amount in the middle, but those 30fps 0.1% and 60fps 1% dips are really noticeable.

Try right-clicking the process in Task Manager and setting the process priority to high, then run it in full-screen, not borderless.

That fixed my issue, but I run a different card so it may not work for you.

@abstract osprey Thank you! This did alleviate the frame dips somewhat, but for whatever reason Borderless fullscreen is way smoother between the hitches than exclusive fullscreen without them. Could just be placebo though.

I have had stuttering and fps drops when playing. It happens in all of my match. I'm running on a 3060 and i5-9400F
