Hey @graceful thorn I'm new to leather working and I was wondering if you had a recommendation for the best hardware to use (eyelets, rivets, snaps etc) I've noticed they make them from all sorts of metals and if you have a specific type brass, copper, stainless steel etc. Maybe tell me here and also perhaps add that to your Amazon list.
#Best leather hardware to use

Hey there! It really depends on your project. They all work well, so I tend to go with brass for projects with warmer colors or with that more "classical fel". Otherwise, I quite like a gun metal finish for more "dangerous looking" things. All looks though
Awesome, I've always wanted to get into leather, but it felt intimidating and your vids helped a lot...if you get a chance maybe toss them in your Amazon affiliate links so myself and any other people looking for hardware can find it easy + you can make a cut from the sale.
I'll see you at Brandywine!
So excited to see you there! Maybe I will bring some scraps ant tools and we can try and craft a bit if I catch a breather😁
That's honestly a great idea, I hadn't thought about crafting while there... I just found out about Brandywine a month ago...so focused on my outfit and making little barrels for pipeweed (tobacco) samples.
I'll probably bring along some leather too, might make a few easy pipe-stands (that could be a quick video idea for you btw since you said you're stretched for time- I am too I feel you there) - I'll find a reference pic
I'll be Sedwyn Hornblower there, camped out IG social area, so I imagine me and the Hornblower bro's should be easy to find...look for smoke rings! lol
Or a pipe holster would be cool
