A friend of mine is making Viking shields, starting at $70. That base price includes a shield boss, comfortable handle, and a single paint color (no pattern.)
Add-ons as follows:
• additional colors in a historical pattern (up to 3)— $5 each
• shield edging- canvas $10, rawhide $20
• shoulder strap with buckle- $15
• complex paint patterns- price variable but starts at $15

It would be at least $85 total given the guidelines above, just including the base shield and the Helm of Awe design. I've messaged zir to ask about it specifically, but it may take some time as they're definitely not up yet. (Two hours after me, and I start work early.)
