I tried so hard to not get into leather work, because I knew how expensive it was gonna be. But, because of Skill tree's leather hood video, I dove head first into it to where I now even work at Tandy leather. I have made so many of these hoods over the past two years and it's all thanks to Skill tree.

Ok, this is awesome I'm making a cloth hood rn but you got me second guessing lol
I too made my first leather hood (not nearly as good as yours) after watching Skill Tree videos! So sad they just closed the Tandy location a couplemiles from my house. Now I would have to drive 1.5 hours to get to one! Thankfully you can buy everything online!
How did you get that effect with the dye on the panel with the buckles?
I can't really be sure because I'm not the one who did it, but it looks like a template was played down and then the black was sprayed on? I'm guessing the bleed into the green happened when buffing, but that's just a guess. Not really sure how else you could get something that clean.
Sorry I'm terrible with discord.
So for the black effect, I just took a paint brush and dipped into some black dye and free handed it over the green.
