Bracer I whipped up for my partner who didn't want to wear her metal ones, made for Empire LRP in the UK from 8oz

Working on a matching one but with metal scales sewn on. It's taking a wild amount of time

I really like the look with those metal scales. I think it will be worth the time involved.

Yeah, it defenitly adds a nice layer of Detail. It also gives it a bit more on an elvish look.

They look awesome! those scales are gonna look rad!

And it's finished! Annoyingly it seems to have some kind of grubby stuff it's rubbing off on itself but it cleans off easy

GG @pallid badger, you just advanced to level 1!

These are amazing! The grubby stuff from the scales just adds character. Did you use rings to attach the scales or sew them on?

Congrats, I wish I could make that lvl of armor. I just repurpose things that's all I can afford in time and money to do at this time.

I would stick the scale down with blu tak, then use an awl to mark the on hole location, remove the scales, punch the holes, and then sew that row and repeat

#

Time consuming but made sure they sat right. If you could definitely work out the distance between the rows that'd speed it up but I wasn't confident I wouldnt make a mistake
