I present the first modell of my magic Scrolls for larp.

The design is AI generated because I relly want draw and I want to trade them for Copper coins so paying someone for each design is nor a Option.

The design was printed on Iron-on foil and then irond on to the cloth. Afer that I aged the cloth with super thinned down brown acrylic paint. With the next one I will do that before I iron on the design to save me some trouble. Then I swan the a dollar store fairy light in place where i painted over the LEDs with clear green acrylic paint. Then I sawn the sides shut and bured tge edges. Drilled a hole in a peace of round wood for the battery's and ptcht the electronics in. Sadly I ripped a cord wile doing that but I could solder that back together. To finish it of I glued the cloth to tue wood and made lether endcaps. I used spray glue than can be peald of to change the battery's. Next time I will make a more elegant solution bur this needed to get finished because I gifted it to a frend for her birthday.

Over the year I will build a bunch those to trade them for Copper next year on larp events. I made a hole bunch of designs one each will be only used once for a Magic Scroll. Most of them are not that necromantic as this one. The nice ones will be availablefor everyonethat can pay but if youbwant to buy the darker ones, sor studying purposes of corse, you will need to show ne a certificate that you are a trained mage.

It's a tool like CNC machining or 3D printing. I can do a lot but I can't draw. The scrolls are effectively meant to be gifted away on Larp events so even i i could draw i wouldn't spend an hour per design per scroll.
If i didn't say that i use AI or if i would sell them for real money your statement would be more understandable but not for something that is meant to be doable fast and cheap somit can be gifted away.

I explained myself now and further comments regarding that topic will be ignored. Keep the topic on the crafting.

Ok, this THIS T.H.I.S.! SOOO COOL! I've been trying to come up with a way to elevate scrolls that was simple and cheap (relatively speaking) and this definitely would work for me!

So builded a second one. Also as a birthday gift. Some day I will build one for me and then a lit more to trade away on larp😅 I try to habe a stoke of them fot the Darkworld and Conquest next year.

#

But this time I took more pictures to explain the process.

#

Thr dollar store changed the fairy lights I used. Tge battery box is bigger and they have a switch instead of a button.

I needet to cut of the nubbin on the bottom to make it fit.

#

Than I aged cut the cloth and aged it a litte with some super thinned down acrylic paint. Left aged right plain.

#

Print the design on transfer foil you can iron on snd don't forgett to mirror it before printing.

#

Then I checkt wher the lights should roughly be abd bent it into shape.

#

Next I painted over the LEDs with some clear acrylic paint.

#

Double check the positions. Mark them on the backside.

#

stitch them to the back

#

Folding it closed and sewing thr sides shut.

#

Then verry carefully burned the edges.

#

I did it over the sink and quickly pt thr fire out with wet fingers. Try this at a left over peace of fabric before you ruin your work.

#

Add a little tassle to tie it closed.

#

Cut the staff and drill a hole for the battery box

#

Now to some improvement. I glued on some verry thin lether straps and put holes onto it.

#

So I could tie it closed around the wooden staff so the battery's are better accessible

#

Glue on some lether end caps and hammer im a fancyUpholstery nail

#

Finished.
