So I’m working on a cosplay of Senshi from dunmeshi. Got kinda a helmet together as well as the bracers and shins.

Working with EVA foam as that’s what I got in abundance and can get access to reasonably.

What I’m struggling with right now is figuring the best way to secure the bracers and shin guards. I would go with grommets and lacing but no clue if that will work for Eva and stand up to me walking and moving about. Was considering trying the same method displayed in the EVA bracer video but it wouldn’t seem right design wise.

If you guys have any reccomends please do share and or improvement ideas. Shared is the helmet rn yeah I know it’s rough I have ideas to fix it and I intentionally left it a bit off because I knew I would be removing material anyway.

Superglue straps inside the. Superglue foam over top.

Cover those seams in quick seal and a lil water and smooth them out

lol nah

I already made them so yeah they are fairly close to the skin and I’d rather not have a buckle pressed into my forearm or claves all day

put them on outside and covr with thin craft foam? loll im running outta ideas

That could work. It would be a modified version of what was done in the bracer vid from skill tree. Would have to see if how best to attach them since contact cement and stitching it could work. Initially I was going to do a zipper for the leg parts but adjustable is key.

Sadly my area is a tad limited to craft stores so I’m at the mercy of Michael’s and Home Depot/Lowes.

Noted, it’s a matter of if mine has it now because mine is essentially run by morons where they don’t really restock anything.

If you need another guid to working with Eva foam look up lost wax on YouTube he makes helmets masks and plenty of other things as for getting things to attach my suggestion is good old fashioned Velcro and broad stitches with sewing.

#

Velcro would negate having to add much nylon webbing if needed at all.
