Emory board or the nail files that have lil sand paper sides should work to smooth it out a bit before you use a slicker
I’m seeing you say beveler not slicker
yeah I used the beveler to curve the edges and it wasn't getting those spots without having to dig into the leather too much. I ended up doing sandpaper cuz it needed it anyway, and going to use the slicker next but. those little bits of the skin where the cuts converge just seem to stick out too much for my liking. its a bit more pronounced irl, wasn't able to capture very well on camera
GG @celest bone, you just advanced to level 1!
make sure you use either water or (prefered) tokonole before you burnish (use the slicker) use quick motions with the slicker but not a lot of pressure. thus will burnish those stray fibers down nicely
I have beeswax, does that work the same?
that will work also, just don't cake it on super thick... thin layer is good
