Praise be to the Lords of Sea and Sky! This painting features the Gods Sobek and Khonsu from Egyptian mythology and was done in homemade mineral-based watercolor pigments on papyrus. The paint pallet and scribes' box are also based on museum pieces from about the same period. The pallet is carved Teak and the box is made from Cyprus. You can see the horse-hair bamboo brushes and Handam reed pen used in the box as well.

Not at this point, but I did make the reed pens and all the paints. I'm running tests on different techniques now. My father made me the paint and scribal palettes.
