The bugs holding the tears of light are no longer bound to the darkness. What secrets do they now hide, and where did the tears go?

(Randomized Tears of Light, and the Twilight Bugs which held them are now in the pool of checkable locations. The bugs are present in all states now. Can be combined with Skipped Twilights, in which case the Tears of Light are turned into junk. Recommended to be combined with either start with shadow crystal or skipped twilights, but can be set on its own)

With this option i'd imagine this could bring the bug boss into the random

Yes, all 36 bugs

I agree with this only if the bugs wait for you to have shadow crystal before they spawn. Otherwise it would be super annoying to have to deal with them without being able to kill them.

Nah they'd exist at all times. Keep in mind entering the Twilight turns you wolf.

#

If you have twilights disabled then you'd need Crystal to kill them (or MDH if you don't skip that)

#

But they'd be no different from poes in that you can't deal with them unless you're a wolf either

# cold yew But they'd be no different from poes in that you can't deal with them unless you...

The difference being that Poes were designed by Nintendo to be largely out of your way, if not outright not spawned, as you play through the game before you get the ability to kill them. So the rando experience of seeing poes you can't deal with is something they designed for, hence why it's not so bad.

The bugs, on the other hand, were expected to be killable as soon as you see them. So the rando experience of being able to see them without being able to kill them would be new and unaccounted for by them. If you think about it, a lot of them are put directly in your way, contrary to Poes (a lot of Poes are visible from the critical path, but stay out of it)

Ultimately I suppose the better solution may be to have them spawn and visible and killable as a human as well.

I will have to disagree on them being visible and killable. I don't see it being necessary. That said, it is a topic that can be decided if the suggestion is implemented.
