RadioMaster Ranger Nano TX - RP1 RX Airport -- TX Wi-Fi not turning on anymore

Hi everyone

I have a radiomaster ranger nano TX in combination with the radiomaster RP1 RX. The airport configuration itself works and I can send data over it perfectly fine. However, the Wi-Fi connection on the TX module will not turn on after 60 seconds when it does not find a RX to connect with. This was explicitly configured and worked when the module was not in airport mode.
The RX module (also in airport mode) does not have this issue and turns on it's Wi-Fi after 60 seconds, so that I can have access to it's web page.

Does anyone know why the TX module does not have this behaviour? Or what is going wrong? I do not want to reflash the module every time I want to make a chance to configuration etc. Both TX and RX are flashed with ELRS release 3.5.6

Have a look if the following ExpressLRS source code lines give you clarity about different handling of RX and TX codes and automatic WiFi enabling:
