its a rdq mach 3 vtx idk what it is but it works with my analog
has the receiver LED ever blinked before?
yes it was working earlier today until I flashed it
why did the receiver got bricked?
I dont know I flashed it and now its bricked
what did you flashed it with?
here are your options:
-
reflash the receiver via uart adapter FOLLOWING the procedure here: https://www.expresslrs.org/quick-start/receivers/hmep2400/#via-uart
-
FOLLOW the Unbricking guide step-by-step here: https://www.expresslrs.org/quick-start/unbricking/
thank you, will let you know how it goes
for sure, especially if it didn't go well
it doesnt say anything about the error messages and I dont have the device used for the first one
what im trying to do is change the "no reset" setting
it doesn't mean anything in this context. ignore it
@quiet yarrow what else could I possibly do?
have you FOLLOWED the steps of the unbricking procedure?
yes
and you haven't thought of ordering a uart adapter if you don't have one?
what about ordering or swapping in another receiver while you wait for the adapter?
ill just buy a new receiver I guess
does the receiver power up when you plug in usb?
only if the battery is also plugged in
did you bridged the boot pad?
yes
and when were you plugging in the LiPo?
wait do I have to do it while the battery is plugged in
what I did was unplugged everything, soldered it, then plugged the battery in
what does the step-by-step say?
If you've connected a LiPo from the previous step, disconnect it. Also, unplug the Flight Controller from your computer.
Prepare the receiver for bootloader mode.
If your Receiver have boot pads, bridge them together with solder.
If your Receiver has a button, use an alligator clip to keep the button pressed.
If your Receiver only has one Boot pad, connect it to a Ground pad.
did it say to plug in lipo?
its still not working even though ive done everything the step-by-step said
when did you power up the receiver?
around a minute after I bridged the pads
so you're still not following the procedure
did the step-by-step guide told you to "Wait for a minute then plug in the LiPo"
if it did, can you tell me what step it was? could you post a screenshot?
no but I already did all the betaflight stuff
see step 9 of the unbricking procedure
OH MY GOD ITS BLINKING
I dont know what I just did I just unplugged it and replugged it and hten plugged in the lipo and I didnt hear fc or esc beeps but its blinking
its a quick flash but not rapid
I forgot to get an adapter for my new batteries and it died so if I dont get it in a few days ill return
@quiet yarrow I very thoroughly followed the steps and doing every single step and still has the same message
